Congratulations, itās wild seeing all these stories of people getting build dates. I took tow off my 7/19 2dr OBX reservation yesterday in hopes of getting scheduled
We were shopping for a Wrangler when we reserved the Bronco. I talked my wife into waiting and giving the Bronco a shot because I thought it would be betterā¦.. Here we are over 500 days later without even a build date. I work from home, so she is currently daily driving my King Ranch. We donāt...
7/19 reservation, 2/19/21 first order, 10/27/21 second order. Still waiting.
2DR, OBX, 2.7, 10A, High package, Tow Package, Eruption Green.
Asked my dealer to take the tow package off this morning so maybe we will stand a chance at getting scheduled.
Guess I better call my dealer and have them take the tow pack off my 2dr. What a joke, no one should have to concede anything when Ford has had their order for over 500 days. Production planning and procurement is my job, and there is no excuse not to have enough trailer hitches with 500+ days...
2Dr reservation holders are still screwed. I already removed ppf on my 21 res. Iām having a hard time compromising on the tow pack when I canāt even order the thing without the d@mm hardtop and get a bestop installed at the dealer.
I live in Texas, I wanted a factory 2dr soft top to begin with...
While I donāt know the specifics of the Bronco manufacturing facility. I was a manufacturing engineer in production control for Hyundai/Kia for several years and was heavily involved in the design and launch of the Telluride.
I can almost guarantee you they will be running 21s and 22s...
+1 for chemical guys. Itās all I use on my vehicles now. I have their water hose foam cannon and the pressure washer foam cannon.
The pressure washer is obviously better, but the water hose will suffice if you donāt want to get out the pressure washer. They have multiple foaming soaps to choose...
Glad someone finally tried it.. I think it will look much better on a gloss color personally. The metallic blue and gloss white are clashing pretty hard.
BRONCO
The body roll and steering slop in the Wrangler were almost unsettling after driving the Bronco on the same 10 minute test drive.
For what itās worth, this Bronco is for my wife. In the 8 years we have known each other, the only vehicle she has wanted was another wrangler. I talked her...
ššš Hey not all of us young guys with MBAs are idiots. I had 10 years of work experience on my application, and worked full time while getting an on campus MBA.
I grew up doing construction, if I wasnāt in school Iād have been hanging drywall, and that fact alone kept me in school. Sadly you...
Ford needs to fire their planners. This isnāt even funny anymore itās just bad. Iām a manufacturing engineer, and I was in production control for a different major automaker. I was heavily involved in the launch of a totally new platform and understand the complexities involved with it. I...
550 per shift is extremely high. Are they 8 or 10 hour shifts?
430 working minutes in an 8 hour shift would put their takt time around 45 seconds.
When I was a manufacturing engineer we shot for 1 vehicle a minute. Usually averaged about 400 a shift, and our plant was very efficient.
All fair points. I guess when I said cheap out, I meant that I expected a 10R80 when I checked the 10 speed option box.
I wonder how long it will take the aftermarket to crack the bronco ecu. I donāt think the C8 factory ecu has been cracked yet.
