I moved from Minnesota to Texas purely to get away from the -40F temps in the winter, and a grand total of 3 months of nice weather. My SVT still has MN plates on it, and it will for a bit longer.
I won’t be trading it, but I’ll be selling my 99 SR5 2WD. Although the more I drive it, the more I want to keep it and turn it into yet another project I don’t need.
Just based on past Ford vehicles, the introductory years may have more creaks and rattles than the later years, and that's about it. They also may make minor changes that don't really change functionality, but reduce production costs. I'll list some examples below on the MK1 Focus, as that's...
No matter what, this is still an improvement from my 4Runner. I'm lucky if I see double digits if there's any amount of wind. Gotta love the 5VZFE, a V6 with the power of a 4 cylinder but the gas mileage of a V8.
Apparently a lot of people here are new to Ford new vehicle launches. Focus ST3's didn't have the HID headlights at launch and were dealer installed after the car was delivered, Focus RS head gasket issues, the entire debacle with the newly redesigned Explorer, the S550's A/C and rear window...
I’m about to, but only if I can verify some things first. My current 3rd Gen 4Runner uses the 6x139.7 lug pattern. So if I can get something that fits it, and move it over to the Bronco when it comes, I will. Otherwise, I’ll wait to make sure everything fits.
I am very happy I got to check out the 2-door, even from behind the ropes. It’s a lot more substantial than I was expecting. Way wider and taller than I thought
Had I not just moved to Texas, I'd be joining you guys! Although, my extended family still lives up on the Iron Range, so I'll be making a few trips up there. Would definitely love to try out the Gilbert OHV, as I had heard about that place my entire life but never actually been. There's also...
I hope so. I know quite a few tuners from the FoST/FiST community still, and a lot of them are hard passing on all the new EcoBoost platforms because of it. I hope COBB or someone else out there figures it out, though.
Haha! Yeah, I miss that place. I hate that FJ basically died once the original owners handed the domain over to it's current owners. I'm friends with some of the admins, and they can see my posts, but apparently I don't even exist in the database anymore. It's great lol
They could be doing something Toyota did back in the day. My 99 4Runner doesn't have the RR Diff Lock option, but the rear diff has the provision for the locker solenoid, and the truck has all the wiring already in it for it. All I would need to do is plug in a solenoid and a button.
Something...
Thank you! I've been browsing the forum for awhile now, but just got my order in and joined today. I miss the forums, used to be very active back when FocalJet was still the "official unofficial" forum for the Focus platform.
These cars are great. This is my 9th lol. It's a disease, or something...I sold my 2014 Fiesta ST a couple months after I bought the SVT so I could get it back on the road. Call me crazy, but the SVT is just more fun to drive.
