Curious how crap like this starts? You live in a hot climate and it lives outside, you clean the trim with anything? Not that any of that should matter, just looking for causes.

Thank God the two vehicles I have that have an oil meter, a BMW and the Bronco never get to the recommended miles before the year is up. The BMW says 12k and the Bronco 10k, both don’t get more than 3k a year on them so the meter goes by time.

Wow, that sounds like a pretty extreme fix. Something physically broke/cracked?

Could be worse, my BMW battery needs to be programmed to the car with their software. I don’t have that software so the battery plus the installation and programming $460.
