My two recent experiences have been different, same version of the app (iOS, v1.0.3). Both were in areas where there was little or no cell service, and in each case I had downloaded offline maps/trails for the areas I was in well ahead of time.
First time (no curated trails, but had map of the...
I was able to record sections of the last couple drives I've done, but getting video recordings with the telemetry overlay has been almost impossible. I tried several times on Sunday, and managed to get one clip of about 28 seconds and another of I think 52 sec. It always seems to be going...
Not sure when we'll be back out on those trails specifically, but we're looking at another outing with this crew in September. Keep an eye on the Oregon Bronco Club on here, and/or the Northwest regional forum. Usually someone will post something a week or two out.
Thanks! For all the concerns I had going in about not having them, it turned out not to be an issue on Sunday.
I think if we'd had some mud, that gnarly climb would probably have been the "shoulda got lockers" moment. 😄
Probably safe to add University Firepower and Cedar Tree trails in Tillamook State Forest to this thread, now that a handful of us have just done them. Both are 'curated' trails on the Bronco Trail App (if you haven't given up on that thing 🤣 ). University Firepower will take you to the Cedar...
Oh - and Slowdrift Brewing near Gales Creek (Hwy 6, MP 39.5, says their website) was a nice little stop on the way back. Dog friendly, outdoor seating. The 'Muddy Waters' stout was quite good.
@SkiRig I was surprised not to find anything on the underside of my factory steps. I thought for sure I would have a nick or two at least in the mounting brackets. I have one ding on the outer edge of the driver's side step, though. I have a minor scuff on the fuel tank, so I'm thinking that's...
Well, we got @adampdx to join us, so we had 5 Broncos out there yesterday - 3 Badlands, 1 Wildtrak, and me in my lockerless Big Bend. @swooshdave posted a YouTube video and some pics in the Oregon Bronco Club.
The trails were loads of fun, lots of turny technical bits, breakovers, climbs...
@swooshdave I didn't hit mine, but I did decide to fold the passenger side in at one point where I got a little closer than I wanted. I washed mine when I got home and didn't see anything significant.
This was a blast. Thanks for cutting the clips together, @swooshdave! Looks like I forgot to mute the audio on one of mine "...12 degrees of roll... *chuckle*" 😄
Wild how tight and turny a lot of it was. More than a couple spots where I had to look back out my rear passenger door to make sure I...
Yeah, not sure how long a day it will be. Ideally back on pavement around 3 or 4, but we'll see. The trail system out there looks such that we could probably bail and head back in several places if we want.
Kinda short notice, but some of us are getting together to check out a couple of the Bronco Trail App 'curated trails' in Tillamook State Forest, out near Browns Camp OHV on Sunday 8/20. So far, it'll be me, @WillRCTID @SkiRig and @swooshdave, and we'd be happy to have more local people join us...
OR/SW WA folks - getting a small group together to check out a couple of the Bronco Trail App 'curated trails' in Tillamook State Forest, out near Browns Camp OHV on Sunday 8/20. So far, it'll be me, @WillRCTID @SkiRig and @swooshdave, and we'd be happy to have more local people join us.

I tried it out a couple weekends ago. Initially, we had no cell service, and the app complained about AppLink the first time I tried it. I gave it another shot a few minutes later and it started working. I was able to record a chunk of the drive until I unintentionally stopped the recording...
