You seem to have the best understanding of this to date. The service manager at Harvard Ford, a smaller dealership, is a great guy to work with, sympathtic to this after I told him about this issue. Of course he was unaware of it, I believe I'm the only manual they sold to date. He...
Reading many posts, this is like reading a mystery novel, many different plot twists, stories from all angles, seems odd there would be different fixes for the same problem. No matter, until there is a series of successful outcomes its all conjecture.
Going on month 3 of ownership May 11, I currently have 6,800 miles, I drive a lot to work sites and office daily. Love it thoroughly, gets a lot of compliments. The noise started a bit into the milage, nothing super annoying other than its there and hope to get it fixed. Its gotten a bit noiser...
Haven't visited this in a while, looks like no change to date, same old, same old. Talked to my dealer service manager at my 5k mile oil change, he was totally unaware of it, he looked up the TSB no mention of '23 MY yet. He said Ford tells them very little and at times is embarrassed when a...
I agree. There is excessive drag, I changed the blades to silicone, problem persists. I've coated the windshield with Rain X, replaced the factory fluid with with Rain X and added Rain X additive, problem persists. I believe the wiper motor is working as designed, stopping the motor due to...
Please chill, I feel sorry for guys like you. Do you have a comprehension problem?
I never said any of what you are implying. I said "I WONDER" then went on and credited them with making one of the best transmissions 60 years ago, pointed out recent transmission problems, affirmed that I'm...
IMO, This has nothing to do with electronics or creature comforts.. You are missing the point Indio is trying to make. There is nothing more mechanical in the Bronco than the MT, a box of gears. In most recent years Ford has had a multitude of problems with their manuals, the Focus manual, the...
I may have missed the buyback, help me recollect please. It's not that Ford has given up, they know an issue exists, IMO this is a tough issue to resolve, they do not want to throw another failed repair out there. The last attempt failed, which has cost them a great deal of money and...
I will make the dealer aware of the issue in my Bronco at my 5k oil change which will take place in two weeks. I believe this problem is across the board, until there is a proven history to back up the repair, parts or new transmission, I'm not going to allow the dealership to make any attempted...
I had mentioned this a few pages back. The dealership risks not getting reimbursed if your vehicle is not listed in the TSB, that's just how it works. You may find one or a few who will do it, feeling confident Ford will reimburse them, its their choice. Its obvious the '23 MY has the same...
I hope the wait for a new trans is quicker this time around, it's a shame you have had to deal with this. Please keep us posted on your progress. I'd think this is most of our fears, once the dealer has the parts, they find bigger issues, then the wait is on. That's why I'd be hoping in the long...
I get this, just thinking out loud, hoping for a new trans over rebuild. It will be interesting to finally know what the problem is and Ford's fix for ALL involved. Oddly, it was warmer in Northern IL today and my trans was significantly louder than its been.
It may be more than synchronizers, requiring a more extensive repair. I'd prefer a new trans over some tech doing a rebuild, not that I do not feel he would be able to do it, more from his experience in having done it. I bought from a small dealer, small shop, I have to wonder, how many...
IMHO, I do not see a buy back of every MT, what would be gained, they would still have to fix them, then resell, no way would they go to the crusher. Ford has a history, as do ALL manufactures, with problematic issues, some extreme, some not so much. Back in the '70 Ford's imfamos Boss 302...
I disagree with this statement, the TSB does not call out the '23 MY. Some dealers may not not fix your transmission if it does not fall under the letter of the TSB. Others my be fortunate enough if their dealer will do it.
