LOL. To the grocery store and back maybe. 5 years in the engineering department of Toyota, and still amazed at the misconception people have on their vehicles. It's a company that convinced people that it was the floor mat that pinned the accelerator pedal, and not a defect
I'm willing to cut them some slack on their advertising and roll out because of "issues" our leaders have created over the last year. I do believe Ford had a better PR strategy for both vehicles, but it went into the tank, and we are where we are.
You wouldn't like going anywhere with me then. I don't allow any food or drink in my vehicles. For me, cup holders are just a void where the dirt collects until I can clean it
I've worked for 2 auto companies, both in the weld shops, and have been in probably a dozen assembly plants. I would be curious to see how MAP is running their lines, but I also know in a lot of the produced vids I've seen of car plants, that they are heavily edited and don't show a lot of what...
My only issue with them, is everyone thinks the Baby Bronco is the "new" Bronco, like what I have ordered. I always have to explain that is just an Escape variant, whereas the real Bronco is like a Jeep Wrangler. Ah well, it's like when I ordered my 2011 Taurus SHO. Everyone pictured the old and...
Worth noting, and take it for what it is, but Elon Musk said he doesn't think solar panels will be able to be improved any more than they already are. Besides, after what Texas went through last month, I'd prefer not to rely on hippy power to keep my family warm. I know the current...
I honestly didn't even realize the OBX had painted flares, while the others didn't. That's on me, but with no actual models to compare to in person, what can be expected. But I have noticed a bunch of Wrangles over the last few days, some with colour matched flares, some without. And I like the...
I'm not saying this is wrong, but based on my experience working with 2 different auto companies, I do question your comments (don't take that personally). I have been part of many MY changes, major model change launches, and while I agree that it is usually a slow ramp up, in this case, with...
I mean, there were probably people like you when Ford started building trucks with an extended cab, and then a second set of doors. But you know, Ford sells more of those trucks than they do of the 2 door ones. How many more 4-door Wrangler's does Jeep than 2 door versions?
Ford, at least use to, take a lot of pride in the F-Series being the sales king. I agree their focus should be getting some Broncos out, even at the expense of some trucks, but I'm not sure they are willing to allow Government Motors to pick up some additional sales
I made the same call, although my Bronco will be the 4th vehicle in the driveway, and will only be used on weekends / evenings in the late spring, summer and early fall.
I think the aftermarket will probably provide a better soft top option, but I don't have room to store a hard top when not...
Things are more money in Canada!?!?!?!? No way!!!! But hey, at least we get to wait months to get attention from our "free" health care system. Totally worth it
I too call BS. I'm sure colour options will change each MY, but they aren't going to complicate the build process with so many new / different options before they are at Job 1 for the current launch.
Plus, there is no need to add these options until the market determines what is needed.
Think...
Factory ordered my 2008 Charger SRT8, but that was because it was a limited availability vehicle, and at that point, I wanted what I wanted, and didn't want to compromise on options to what was already in stock elsewhere. Surprisingly didn't have to wait more than a few weeks.
Then factory...
Get a new F-150 and you all of you can be happy knowing you have the best truck on the market
Remember, a Ram can go anywhere with a Ford pulling it
Seems I've ordered the most popular colour, and door option. Doubt it will be as bad as my Black F-150 Sport D-Cab, where 6 other guys on my hockey team have the exact same truck (with another 4 that have a Sport in another colour. Yes, 11 Gen 13 F-150 Sport's), but still :cautious:
He's won the Ridler 4 times, among many other prestigious car design / build awards, as well as having his own TV show. Pretty sure he built Joe Rogan's old '70 Cuda Sick Fish. He was / is a pretty big name in the custom car building world, but does seem to go a bit too far, too often, in some...
