Thanks and thanks for checking out the VIN for me. For the record (and I'm not saying you were referring to me) I was never blaming the dealer. The lack of info they had from Ford and their general annoyance at the lack of info is what prompted me to start wondering. And when I saw the warranty...
Here is the quick update - just hung up with the dealer. It was damaged badly enough (B pillar damage) that Ford isn't confident they should sell it. I'm paraphrasing there. Dealer has given me a few options including trying to dig deeper and see if it's salvageable and can be repaired or place...
So I just spoke with ford customer service. The agent I spoke with said that they show the truck as awaiting shipment with a target arrival date of Feb 2nd. She couldn't answer as to why the warranty shows active or why I found a record of it being titled in Michigan. At this point I'm going to...
Thanks for that. ran my VIN through that app and it shows Michigan Motor Vehicle Dept "title issued or updated - First owner reported 1/7/22". I'm in NJ as is my dealer so this is getting more weird.
I did track it on united and it has a load number and my dealer name but no order ID. Nothing I can click that takes me any further. What would that mean then? It's scheduled?
Fair question. It was when I logged into the site and saw the warranty listed as being active - that prompted the post. Pushed me over the edge perhaps.
That's what I asked the dealer and he said if that had happened he likely would have heard fairly quick. But that's also why he wanted to follow up on Monday / Tuesday. This was roughly 4:00 on Friday and my guess is he wasn't expecting much more in terms of answers till Monday.

I'm supposed to be getting my OBX very soon, like was scheduled this week. But learned today it may be "missing". If it shows up then I will have a set of stock OBX wheels and tires available with virtually no miles on them.
Thanks everyone. Aside from all the reasons mentioned above - I was concerned about what bugs were possibly worked out after the mannequins were built. Just another reason to say no. I'll let you know what my friend decides.
