From a 2016 article about the 2017 Raptor: “Baja is designed for "high-speed desert running," says a Ford press release, with a throttle map and traction control settings designed to give "more liner power and improved engine response," as well as quicker shifts and a transmission that will hold...
Like the idea. Also interested in getting something like what you listed. How much weight will a Bronco rooftop hold without being damaged? Can 2 people sleep up there without causing dents or sagging the roof?
edit: @bronco38 beat me to the post. Thanks for the weight limits. I’d be concerned...
Bronco burrito lunch sounds great. Where to go though?
Albertos still there? Small parking lot though.
Burros & Fries?
Cali’s & Fries?
Yesenia’s?
La Fuente?
Lolita’s?
Palomino’s?
etc.?
It’s like choosing which Bronco trim or color...
Yes. I made the reservation on July 13th but got an email saying July 14th, and the date when I switched dealers says July 14. However, the date on my Ford account shows July 13. Strange. Hopefully it doesn’t matter. The reservation number is the same.
Shout out from Escondido!
I asked about this in another thread and was told that “Any model that comes with a front locker uses the M210, so yes the Sasquatch package would include that.”
I don’t see how the GOAT modes would make much difference in off road abilities. I haven’t found a clear explanation either. People have been off roading with 4x4 transfer cases for decades using 2H, 2L, 4H, 4L. Are the GOAT modes making some type of computerized adjustments not otherwise...
I don’t see how the GOAT modes will make much difference for off road abilities. 4x4 transfer cases go into 4hi or 4lo. The only difference between Baja mode and sport mode is 4hi in Baja from what I saw on another post here. Manually switch to 4hi from sport mode to mimic Baja mode?
It all depends on what you’ll be using your Bronco for. If you’ll be doing a lot of off roading the 2.3L is great because it is lightweight. That’s the main advantage I see with the 2.3L. Less weight is better for serious off roading and is a main reason why Jeep has excelled at it.
The only difference between the Baja mode and Sport mode is 4H vs 2H from what I’ve seen. Wondering how useful Baja mode will be for just cruising(Not racing)through sand and dunes in Southern California. Is it worth changing to the badlands model from black diamond to have the Baja mode? You...
Same here. I could not get any answers about pricing from Gosch Ford in Escondido other than the $1495 destination fee. I had to call them multiple times just to confirm they had my reservation. I received an unofficial-looking email from them with a lot of basic grammar mistakes after speaking...
