Reviving ye olde base locker thread to see if we have any new info on this conundrum. The specifics on changing over the open diff to a locker are well covered here in the event that the Bronco does use the same welded ring gear as the non-locked ranger. The real question though is is this...
Minor thread derailment warning...
I actually really like the seat choice here but how does Ford not realized how badly those grab handles clash with the aesthetic here? I feel like it will be the same with some of the two door models that have the body panel color come through on the interior...
So several more days have obviously gone by at this point. I checked the status on Thursday and my order is CANCELLED...
Called Ford back and they said there was nothing they could do to revive that order. My only option now is to place a new order and then have Ford link my original timestamp...
thanks for that but DEAR GOD could Ford make this any more dramatic or complicated? My main frustration is them continuing to push me to deal with this dealer who wants nothing to do with helping me switch my reservation to another dealership. They are putting their customers in the middle of...
:ROFLMAO::LOL::LOL:
Ford isn’t going to void your warranty for changing a tire size. Dealer might not give you crap for those tires if they have no other purpose for them. I would just go to an independent tire shop and get whatever you want. Sell the other tires on Craigslist or something.
I requested a change of dealers on 1/26 after my original wouldn’t commit to pricing in writing then put in an order without my consent. Today, my reservation changed to canceled!
I didn’t catch it in time to talk to Ford but I will talk to them tomorrow morning. I am really hoping it’s just...
Base with wash out floor and rear locker. Literally have to go two trim levels up from base to get the floor that all of these should have had. Carpet serves no purpose on a vehicle like this. I actually prefer the combo of cloth seats and wash out floor which in my mind is exactly what the base...
This is the first thing I thought of. I had an FJ and after years the seats looked basically brand new. They were a tightly woven water resistant cloth. It would be a huge miss if Ford didn’t use the same type of material. I can’t imagine the material cost would be much higher.
On the other...
For a two door, base is a no brainer if you’re going SAS. The jump from base 2 door to BB 2 door doesn’t represent a good value other than unlocking some options that can be added on top of the price increase. Options like a locker or mid package available with BB. If you want a 2 door and 35s...
i mean if you’re going to replace the whole interior with leather why not just start with cloth? I guess if you wanted a higher trim for other reasons it could still make sense. Katskins definitely look great that’s for sure.
If I could just get a locker on the base model I would be so set... Such a lame move to be locked out of it at that trim level. I’ve been reading that it might require quite an extensive upgrade to add it later on this trim level and I have to wonder what the warranty implications are for the...
2 door easily unless it’s a main family vehicle. I have two kids but we drive the expedition any time we need to take them anywhere. I thought about this pretty hard and even the last few years we always used wife’s truck whenever we took them anywhere because the car seats are already there. If...
Going to be interesting if demo units start hitting dealer lots... hopefully reservation holders can test drive them as I would love some seat time in a 2.3 to see how it feels.
First thread here... I have a two pronged question.
I have a reservation that has been converted to an order. Since placing the order I have decided to move from Big Bend to BD so I can get that sweet wash out interior. I always loved the rubber floors in my FJ and it’s a feature I really want...
My reservation is from two weeks ago so worse case I will just make a new one if this continues to go nowhere. I’ll be happy to get my vehicle anytime in late 2021 at this point. Not sure if that’s even too optimistic.
A converted order that was made without my knowledge. I had to contact the dealer but they claimed to not have the power to make the change after Ford explicitly told me they could. I have a feeling the dealer just didn’t know how or that it was an option as they were overall fairly pleasant. I...
I was able to get Ford to agree to move my order yesterday. They took all the information and it seemed like I was good to go but the Ford website still shows my order with the previous dealer. How long does it take Ford to update this? Is there any other place that folks are tracking their...
