My two cents, the 2.3 with AT on a two door will be just fine. If your going non/sq get the rear locker with 4.23 gears it will help if you ever decide to go up to 35” tires. You will get better mpg with the 2.3 but only by 2-3 but where this will matter is in your range with smaller fuel tank...
