Genuine question: what is your use case for putting the doors in the back? It's cool that it can be done, but seems like quite the commitment. You have zero storage and risk damaging them. To me it's either the doors are off and at home, or on the car. I just can't think of a scenario where I...
Figured I'd post what I've used in the past to plan nice weekend trips along forest roads to the top of various knobs (typically west of Staunton for me). This encompasses George Washington and Jefferson National Forests.
@CARdiac which ones did you settle on? I'm having a hard time finding ones that I like. I like the RTRs but they are $1600, and not yet available. I'm also looking for one that might cut down on the rooster tails and double as a mud flap
Took about two weeks. Shipped 11/24, delivered on 12/9. Delivery window was 12/8-12/14. I was shocked given Thanksgiving in the mix.
@Blaven I'm so happy to see you finally released. I was 8/6 production and I can't imagine waiting longer.
That's sorta why I mentioned the speed change. Its as if after a 1000 miles, enough tire has worn off that the harmonic wobble moved to a different speed range.
I may take it in for a look at the balancing or a flat spot before the tire wears any further. Haven't heard of anyone mention this...
Speaking of that (and sorry to you guys still waiting) I have a nice side to side shimmy going on at 72-73mph. I've put 1000 miles on in the last 20 days and the shimmy is less noticable but now seems to hit around 75-76 mph. Everyone talks about how smooth it handles on the highway.
As I'm not...
Haven't been, but it's on the list to check out. Seems the most miles of trail for anything in MD. I plan on heading into VA for all the forest roads in GW National Forest. Also found Big Levels to Blue Ridge in the GW forest east of 81.
