You might consider calling MRT. They do a lot of custom work and they actually apply true engineering discipline. And just as important, they will charge you fairly.
I used Forscan to modify my circumference when I went from stock to 35s on my non-sas BD. I followed the proper measurement procedure but arrived at a similar, not quite right value. I had to tweak the value to get it right. So yes, I believe it is a bit of art along with the science.
