  1. Issue w/ Bronco Spare Tire Mount Reinforcement Kit-SKU: M19007BRS

There definitely should NOT be any play in the hinges. Something isn't correct AT ALL.
  2. Convex mirrors without tint

I used to be an Outside Mirror designer for OEMs. There may be a Federal restriction on aftermarket glass with regard to tint/no tint. I can't remember (25 years ago) but you might be surprised at how many Federal regulations apply to even the most insignificant parts of a car (not that the...
  3. 60th Anniversary Fender Badge Availability

At least he/she/they/it doesn't identify as a Jeep. Or is it Geep?
  4. Poll - are both of these spare tire lugs tight?

Proper torque is key. I believe the spare carrier calls for 42 ft/lbs. As tight as possible does not work. In fact, it probably makes things much worse and it's one of the reasons that fasteners fail "unexpectedly". As far as anti-lock lugs are concerned, they are useless. Thieves don't think...
  5. Mirror switch

Aside from the added trim, what is wrong with it?
  6. Another What's This Part? Solved.

It never occurred to me to ask if it was solid.
  7. Another What's This Part? Solved.

That doesn't appear to be stock. I bet it's a tracker. Probably put there by the dealer or a previous owner. Or some similar technology.
  8. 2.3L Muffler & BPV Delete Ridiculous Sounds - Best $150 Spent!

You might consider calling MRT. They do a lot of custom work and they actually apply true engineering discipline. And just as important, they will charge you fairly.
  9. 2025 Bronco - Forscan Wheel size update issues

The valve sensors do all the work. After the tire change the system resets after around 10 to 15 miles of driving.
  10. 2025 Bronco - Forscan Wheel size update issues

I used Forscan to modify my circumference when I went from stock to 35s on my non-sas BD. I followed the proper measurement procedure but arrived at a similar, not quite right value. I had to tweak the value to get it right. So yes, I believe it is a bit of art along with the science.
  11. Did I make the wrong choice by buying a Ford?

Your problem isn't Ford, your problem is the dealership. Don't forget that at the end of the day Ford can't enforce many of the issues that become problems at a dealership.
  12. Swamps Code Orange Bronco Raptor Build

As a former mirror designer for OEMs... mirrors and their function is very heavily federally regulated and must meet a very comprehensive and strict set of guidelines. Two primary criteria come into play. One, field of view from the driver's perspective. All of the eyepoint angles are measured...

  14. PSA Cheap Effective Mod: Tailgate Pin Reinforcement

Something isn't adding up correctly. According to the spec, the torque value on a size 30 torx plus fastener (this is for an M6 bolt) is 418 in/lbs or 35 ft/lbs. The OP and subsequent posters suggest this process (other than ensuring correct location) is relatively easy. Later posters in this...
  15. PSA Cheap Effective Mod: Tailgate Pin Reinforcement

Can anyone clearly state the torque values for these bolts, top to bottom?
  16. Annoying 😡 - when rear seats are folded down (2 dr), it prevents front seats from adjusting all the way back

To reiterate... Why not remove the headrests on the rear seats?
  17. Retro Mods for Cactus Grey OBX - Lets see some pics!

Another Cactus Gray 2-door. Not retro but I like the idea. I will subscribe to this thread to follow the ideas.
  18. Best way to remove front shocks?

"Now, just put your spacers on the strut (top and bottom) and put it back in the Bronco. Tighten the top strut bolts, use the supplied lower strut nut and bolts from Zone (this will make removing the strut so much easier in the future since the stamped studs have been removed)." What torque...
  19. Torque Spec Reference List

I used to do some work for NASA. We had a bolt on the Orbiter (a payload trunnion bolt made of inconnel) that was rated for 60,000 ft/lbs. Required a machine on a crane to be installed.
  20. Two new products: Mobile phone holder/charger & air vent cup holder

Also, does the phone cradle have a mag-safe compatible charger? i.e. does it have a magnet?
