2023 MY Price Protection
Is price protection still in effect for the 2023 MY?
Ford will continue to honor MSRP pricing based on when a customer’s reservation or order was placed for similarly equipped vehicles. Previously announced price protection amounts for eligible customers are still valid...
My reservation was 8/2021 and original order 10/2021. When I spoke to my dealer, I discussed all the scenarios I have heard about on these boards and he said it was a simple process. At time of sale they attach the certificate from Ford. Since they are charging current MSRP, it is essentially...
Feds meet early November and mid December. They have already hinted at another 3/4 a percent. I suspect you will see two increases and both will be 1/2 to 3/4 a percent.
Happy for those with early reservations getting scheduled. I feel strongly Ford should have went in reservation order with only adjustment being to part availability, regardless of dealer allocation, etc. I am a Aug '21 res holder, Oct '21 order, Sept '22 reorder and was scheduled for 11/14...
Mine didn't bring me in, I just stopped in. He knew the process, we did a DORA and COVP, but they never reached out to me. The DORA did not show price protection, he said the certificate would be attached at time of purchase, but the Ford site updated my order, shows it as a 2023 with all my...
Ford’s website required a res fee in Aug ‘21. When I placed my order online in Oct ‘21 they required $500 deposit. Both are credited towards the purchase. Not sure who holds the $100, I believe Ford, and my dealer is holding the $500. When I got my MY23 purchase agreement, both showed on it.
You had a reservation and ordered 10/15 when the MY22 process began. Did you place your order at the dealer or online? I am about the same as you, ordered online 10/18 and the process, even moving to MY23 has been flawless. If you ordered online, not sure the issue is the dealer but rather...
May slow down production later in the MY23 year, but it will also move many farther down the line, which will move some to a earlier production date. Good for me, bad for them.
Smaller dealer that has received 20+ more orders than they were allocated this year so I am fairly confident I will be early next year. Will remove the upgraded axle because I don’t need it and aftermarket tow will also suffice. That would leave me with 2.7 and hardtop, neither should be a...
So here is my interesting question. I
Made a reservation in 8/21, order placed day 3 of MY22. Dealer has 30 reservations not converted, most ahead of me, and 5 orders, including mine pending. Assuming we all just got bumped to MY23, do these reservation holders move ahead of me if we all...
Didn’t say they did anything wrong, but you can’t deny Ford looked the other way for longer than they should have after it was obvious there was an issue. They delayed production, had supply issues, had a 18+ month wait list, gamed the system in favor of some dealers at the detriment of...
The dealer would gladly refund the $500 for inventory most likely. Mine said to place the order and if I change my mind once it came in they will refund me because they want the inventory.
If they add $10k then they kind of changed the game on you and should just to keep you happy.
