I figured with the Bronco on the Ranger platform, and with the 2.7, we'd at least match the 4Runner in towing capacity. Net yet a deal breaker for me, but it is a bit of a bummer.

Plus ten points for asking the question. My suggestion is focus on the interior options you want. Get the lowest model you can get with the interior stuff you want. The capability already baked into the platform will be plenty.

I'm hoping Burger Tuning develops a JB4 for the 2.7. I've had a JB4 piggy back on two vehicles. It's awesome and removes quick and easy, so no problems with voiding the warranty.
