Mabett has nice stuff. The only thing I don’t like about it is the nuts, bolts and washers they use. Even in a semi dry summer all the fastening hardware on their mudflaps started to rust and run down over the flaps. I removed all the black washers, nuts and Alan head bolts and replaced them...
I only wanted the gloss grill because I didn’t like the holes in the Outer Banks grill But couldn’t order it because I’m in Canada.
Well I fixed that issue of the four openings in the grill by making grills to go in them and now I love the OBX Grill. As they say “money saved is money earned” 👍
Cool. I went with all stainless, nuts, washers…anyone that does this keep in mind the front hardware is smaller than the rear. They are great mudflaps. They look like they came with the Truck.
The nut is supposed to be on the inside of the flap. When I did mine I ended up putting all stainless steel hardware on them because the nuts and bolts started to rust.
I never had to shave anything but the Tolerances were tight for a few of the bolts. It’s a great value for what you get. I’ll be replacing all the Alan bolts this week with stainless ones. Glad you got yours on.
