  1. My SAS Badlands on the trail today, main takeaway: These tires suck!

You plan on taking that off road? If so then you better get the Ford Performance HD steering rack and tie rods
  2. Cancelled my order but dealer put order through anyway

Tell the dealer to sell it for you but you want half of the 10k over MSRP that they are going to sell it for..
  3. A Practical Recommendation: ExoShield film for windshield

My deductible for windshields is $100 so I can get 4 windshields for your 2 year product price. Doesn't sound like a smart return on my investment. LOL Kinda dumb to buy insurance on something that's already insured by your auto policy
  4. Looking for list of tools/sizes/etc that are common to the 6G? For my tool kit

As a matter of fact I have the parts that I need with me 90% of the time. For my SxS I carry ball joints, tie rod ends, spare drive belt, spark plugs and axles. For the Bronco I will do the same. I might end up with $500 in parts but I would rather have it and not need it or break down.
  5. Looking for list of tools/sizes/etc that are common to the 6G? For my tool kit

I carry way more stuff than most of you do. This is what I carry in both Side by Sides. I will build up a new kit for the Bronco with some of the larger sockets if needed. I
  6. Video: Bill @ Evilletruck goes full send and breaks his Bronco

If you are going to go off road it might be wise to learn to fix things yourself. The cost of parts is high enough as it is and labor is crazy.. Maybe you Youtubers think you can get enough views to pay for the repairs
  7. 2.3 Shaping up to be the better Engine?

You don't have to worry about the engine. It's the tranny.... I would guess that since the Bronco got the lighter duty tranny it make sense the tune would be lighter as well
  8. Age and Reason for 2door and 4door buyers

4 door for us. To carry the dogs in the backseat when we go 4wheeling. Also 4 seater will do better on the trails in most cases
  9. Mall crawlers Do Not Attempt!

You must be a mall crawler instead of offroader. Warming up the tires makes them sticky so you get better traction
  10. 2.3 Shaping up to be the better Engine?

Nope, 2.7 is better all the way around. As heavy as the Bronco is, more is better even with the 10 speed and low rear gears If you are a mall crawler get the 2.3.
  11. Scrub radius 33's vs 35's....

I do know that Ford Performance sells a heavy duty steering rack and tie rods for the Bronco. I think anybody going to 37's and plans on doing serious offroading needs to upgrade I haven't found any info on the scrub radius yet
  12. V-8's Regulated Out of Existence by 2023 for some brands

It has no effect on whether a V8 is added to the Bronco. It might change in a few years but that's not the reason now
  13. V-8's Regulated Out of Existence by 2023 for some brands

Doesn't apply to SUV's so it shouldn't matter for the Bronco: Since 1991, consumers have paid the Gas Guzzler Tax on every new car purchased or leased with an unadjusted combined EPA fuel economy rating less than 22.5 miles per gallon (mpg). This only applies to cars, not pickups, vans, or...
  14. Update: Averaged 20.9 MPG on the way back! | Drove to the beach last night and MPG was better than expected!

You are averaging 60 mph and nobody drives 60. Take it out at 75-85 and do it again and report back. That's the kind of mpg most of us will get
  15. Car hauler for Bronco

I have a 24' Aluma trailer now but it's kinda long to maneuver around small gas stations. I use it to haul two side by sides on. I keep all of my trailers inside so the wood deck isn't a problem. I did look at the Big Tex 70DM with the steel deck but it's only rated at 7k I would just use the...
  16. Portable Air Compressors - Tire Fill Times

Because the cheap compressors get hot and shutdown. Then you have to wait 30 minutes for them to start working again. Don't buy a cheap air compressor or a cheap winch..
  17. New Guy Order Process Request

I ordered Oct 30 and still no email from Ford. The website does show my order.
  18. Car hauler for Bronco

Thanks. I will be hauling the Bronco to CO in the spring and bringing it home in the winter. I do tend to drive fast as it's 660 miles one way from our place in TX to CO. Having a higher GVWR gives me extra capacity on the tires and from my experience if I don't put a lot of weight on the tires...
  19. Car hauler for Bronco

Thanks. I figure a fully loaded Badlands is 6k and the trailer if steel will weigh 2000-2500 so I will need at least a 10K GVWR (two 5k axles) as 7K wouldn't be enough
