I drove over Donner Summit from Reno to Sacramento on Wednesday night during the blizzard. Visibility was terrible. I kept the Bronco in Slippery GOAT mode but switched it from AWD to 4H. The snow was coming down faster than the plows could keep up and the road had 2-4 inches on it...
I used the 7 day trial of OnX when I was in Moab last week. It works well over CarPlay. I was able to find my trail and record my run through it. I haven’t paid for it yet. They sent me 20% off discount code after the trial ended.
you are speed limited to 107mph. The 2dr sasquatch with 2.7 accelerates nicely when you drop the hammer but it does get a little squirrely over 85mph with the high CG and soft suspension.
After going to Off Roadeo and seeing how game changing the Sasquatch package is I would opt for it as the only upgrade to the base. It is probably more important than the bigger engine, modular bumper, aux switches, etc.
I’m up to 1600 miles already. The mpg is creeping upwards the more I drive. First thousand miles was 16.7 now up 17.6 calculated. This is all with a roof top box so I expect 1.5mpg better without the box.
Well, I did it. Moab off roadeo on Dome Plateau Saturday and Hurrah Pass Sunday morning. I got a special treat Sunday afternoon that I need to write up separately for everyone. Here’s a picture from day 5 of ownership near the top of Hurrah Pass Utah.
I just drove from Sacramento to Moab. I bumped the cruise control up an down a few miles every few minutes. When I hit about 900 miles I noticed the transmission is now shifting buttery smooth. I would not worry about a long trip.
Also, I noticed the mpg is best between 70-75. At 78 it starts dropping drastically. I also hit 107mph once I hit the 1000mile mark just to test it out. It wouldn’t let me go any faster.
I just made it to Moab from Sacramento. I averaged 17.4mpg on my first tank and that was driving 150miles from dealer. My first 1000 miles I’m at 16.7mpg total. However, 800 of those miles I have had a Thule box on top. I think this is reducing my mpg by 10-15%. I fully expect to see...
these don’t fit the Sasquatch fender flares without cutting them to match the contour of the larger flare. Then you have to figure out how to attach to the outer edge of the flare.
2.7, auxiliary switches, rack, running boards, and floor liners. This thing is amazing. Looked better than the first edition sitting next to it when I picked it up. Got x plan pricing too.
It finally arrived this morning as i was headed out the door to drive to Moab. I postponed my trip, picked up my Bronco and will drive out to Off-Roadeo tomorrow. I'm gonna miss one day snowboarding at Snowbird, but I'll have my Bronco in Moab. Thanks @Gloff ! Serramonte Rocks!
