A good quality 1 piece is a good investment for sure. Had an issue with the two piece on the f150 and took hours to remove. They have a special socket to get off the two piece if the outer metal cover comes off. Would have been nice to haveā¦just donāt understand why Ford uses a 2 piece.
Amplification is like more horsepower, itās always nice to have more. At a minimum you have more volume which is great with the top down or off. If you ride with the top down and want good sound go with an amplifier and upgrade to quality speakers. My only regret in my install is not buying...
Key definitely makes a huge difference with the right speakers and settings. Kicker CS are bright. Forscan settings make minimal impact. You can use factory output to your advantage.
There is Mode 6 data records pending events plus misfire monitor on IDIS should be able to pickup cylinder that is contributing to misfire. How do they know itās an o2 without a code telling them itās an o2 sensor.
IMO, Forscan is a waste of time on audio and you can use factory equalization or crossover to get amazing clean sound without adding redundant bass blockers, by using a nice line converter with dual amps and kicker dsp for highs. Many try to fix a problem that isnāt a problem, if you understand...
An extension is useful for a bike rack or cargo rack where you need a male to female connection. I do think the one piece ball extender would be preferred with a load.
My 2.3 with 33ās is plenty strong. 275-300 hp depending on fuel is plenty to get the job done. No problem at all and power is always on tap. By no way embarrassing
What codes are being reported on the diagnostic software? š. I would find it hard to believe with the capability of Fordās IDS software they canāt diagnose a misfire. By the way Forscan has very similar diagnostics.
I have one that I have used for my bike rack and obviously no issue. Iām also considering either a 2-1/4 drop hitch, or use my extender for my boat, because there isnāt enough room to engage the ball latch. The 2-1/2 drop doesnāt allow my trailer jack to pivot down (too low). I havenāt tried...
