  1. Kicker 12" CompRT downfire sub w/passive radiator

Will the Matt only stop potential rattling or does it improve sound?
  2. Kicker 12" CompRT downfire sub w/passive radiator

Wondering if anyone has experience with this sub. What are your thoughts?
  3. Question about rear speakers

That is brilliant! I just checked out your build... very nice! Looks like I can keep the 4" and add a 6 1/2" similar to the front setup (just tap oof and split the speaker line coming into the pod). My amp sends 100 watts to each channel so that's enough to power the 2 speakers.
  4. Question about rear speakers

How did you modify the Alpine pod to install in the Bronco?
  5. Whats your MPG on your motor and model ?

    After 12,000 miles I am averaging around 18 1/2. Outerbanks 4dr 2.3l Sas
  6. Aftermarket replacement speaker suggestion?

I have the Audio Control LC 5 1300 amp installed and replaced the speakers with the Kicker CS series speakers. I'm afraid they can't handle the amp and am looking to replace them with another option. The amp puts out 100 watts per channel @ 4 ohms. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if...
  7. My Amp install in cargo area w/ custom DIY amp mount

After looking at every nook and cranny in and around the Bronco, I finally decided to install the amp inside the cargo area. I felt it was just too big to hide and I wanted to access the controls. I ended up building an amp mount using PVC trim that I pained black. I drilled 2 holes in the...
  8. Cracked windshield - any chance Ford will replace during adhesive recall?

I thought I got lucky but my windshield got me last week. A 4"+crack from the upper right corner. Nothing hit the glass and all I could think is that it was a temperature stress crack. Ford acted like it was the first windshield they ever heard of that broke spontaneously. Lucky I have a $50...
  9. How did Goodyear get this contract

I have no problem with the Goodyears considering they need to be everything to everyone. For a vehicle that is on pavement way more than anywhere else, these tires are quiet and work great in dry and wet conditions. It would be pretty cool if a manufacturer offered Mickey Thompsons as an option...
  10. Front speaker amp location

Anyone figured out where to put an amp too big to conceal behind a rear panel?
  11. Bronco standard sound system 6 speaker upgrade DIY writeup w/ instructions (dash & kick panel speaker removal) & wiring diagram

You need to remove the kick panels because most likely you will need an adapter to mount the new speaker. The kick panel probably has just as many clips as the grill. There is one bolt connection on the driver side, but again very easy to remove. On a scale of one to 10, this is a one is...
  12. Designed my own low profile cargo box (for complete lay flat mattress)

Love the box. I was looking for something similar for more storage. If you ever decide to make these, keep my name. SS is really nice but I would think aluminum would work just as well.
  13. Where is everyone mounting their aftermarket amps?

Thanks. I’m sure I will find something but it’s good to know there are several options.
  14. Where is everyone mounting their aftermarket amps?

What did you ground your amp to? Did you just remove some paint at a hole and run a bolt through?
  15. Installing stereo amp on tailgate?

Good point. I was thinking of zip tying it to the wiring that already runs to the brake light. Seems like there’s enough slack there that the wires shouldn’t pull out of the amp.
  16. Installing stereo amp on tailgate?

Has anyone considered installing their stereo amp(s) on the rear tailgate? Seems like a great place if you want access.
