That is brilliant! I just checked out your build... very nice! Looks like I can keep the 4" and add a 6 1/2" similar to the front setup (just tap oof and split the speaker line coming into the pod). My amp sends 100 watts to each channel so that's enough to power the 2 speakers.
I have the Audio Control LC 5 1300 amp installed and replaced the speakers with the Kicker CS series speakers. I'm afraid they can't handle the amp and am looking to replace them with another option. The amp puts out 100 watts per channel @ 4 ohms. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if...
After looking at every nook and cranny in and around the Bronco, I finally decided to install the amp inside the cargo area. I felt it was just too big to hide and I wanted to access the controls. I ended up building an amp mount using PVC trim that I pained black. I drilled 2 holes in the...
I thought I got lucky but my windshield got me last week. A 4"+crack from the upper right corner. Nothing hit the glass and all I could think is that it was a temperature stress crack. Ford acted like it was the first windshield they ever heard of that broke spontaneously. Lucky I have a $50...
I have no problem with the Goodyears considering they need to be everything to everyone. For a vehicle that is on pavement way more than anywhere else, these tires are quiet and work great in dry and wet conditions. It would be pretty cool if a manufacturer offered Mickey Thompsons as an option...
You need to remove the kick panels because most likely you will need an adapter to mount the new speaker. The kick panel probably has just as many clips as the grill. There is one bolt connection on the driver side, but again very easy to remove. On a scale of one to 10, this is a one is...
Love the box. I was looking for something similar for more storage. If you ever decide to make these, keep my name. SS is really nice but I would think aluminum would work just as well.
Good point. I was thinking of zip tying it to the wiring that already runs to the brake light. Seems like there’s enough slack there that the wires shouldn’t pull out of the amp.
