Hey all! I don't think I've made a post in here yet, if I have, pretend like this is my first š
Got my Badlands back in March of this year and have loved it so far! I can't wait for this coming fall and winter to go wheeling and camping more.
I don't have a good photo of mine yet, but I went with @GoatFab and have been very happy with mine. I installed them back in March so they don't have a ton of wear and tear on them yet but they seem very promising!
Itās from Trailrax! They sell it with the roof rack, and I absolutely love it. Iāve had it on since March and have no complaints so far. Hereās a link to their site, they make full and half versions
Youāre right thereās no escaping aerodynamic issues with a rack, especially if itās loaded down with gear. However, I havenāt noticed any differences since adding mine. I can tell my boxes are up there when theyāre packed full, but the rack itself didnāt give any noticeable changes.
Yeah the lightbars are a different brand so they're excluded, I believe it's only on TRailrax branded items. I did see Diode Dynamics was having a sale on their light bars though! https://www.diodedynamics.com/specials
Bummer. Some of the accessories are 15% off though, so Iāll probably take advantage of that while I can. I want a set of the handles and another universal plate for my Pak Rax
Iāve had this deflator and this compressor for about 3 years now and have been happy with them both. There is a smaller version of the compressor thatās a little cheaper but will take longer to inflate.
I personally donāt have any experience with the Staun deflators but Iāve heard great things...
Interesting, I didn't have that problem with mine. My only mishap was some updated hardware but the old install instructions so that threw me off for a bit. But once I figured out what was going on I was good.
I see so many posts in here about the Trailrax roof racks. I had their products on my Jeep a few years back, and got their 4-door Bronco rack with the Pak Rax. I've had it a few months now and absolutely love it! They're currently having a 4th of July sale with up to 15% off Trailrax products...
Be prepared for bugs (horse flies, no-see-ums, sand flies) if the wind dies down because they will swarm FAST and they hurt when they bite. If the wind is up consistently you'll be fine. Definitely air down to drive on the sand. I've always been fine around 15-18 but everyone has their...
The blue 2D you see in one of the photos is actually @ModifyMike. As for the photo you quoted, I just laid the back seats down and used the leveling pads and air mattress from @deepsleep Overland to make the bed setup! Itās super easy and very comfortable
