    Badlands Club

Hey all! I don't think I've made a post in here yet, if I have, pretend like this is my first šŸ˜‚ Got my Badlands back in March of this year and have loved it so far! I can't wait for this coming fall and winter to go wheeling and camping more.
  2. Running Board Recs

I don't have a good photo of mine yet, but I went with @GoatFab and have been very happy with mine. I installed them back in March so they don't have a ton of wear and tear on them yet but they seem very promising!
  3. Summer Road Trip! Covered 6k Miles Over 4 Weeks

It’s from Trailrax! They sell it with the roof rack, and I absolutely love it. I’ve had it on since March and have no complaints so far. Here’s a link to their site, they make full and half versions
  4. Trailrax Roof Rack

Yes I can still remove my front 3 panels with the full size rack!
  5. Trailrax Roof Rack

You’re right there’s no escaping aerodynamic issues with a rack, especially if it’s loaded down with gear. However, I haven’t noticed any differences since adding mine. I can tell my boxes are up there when they’re packed full, but the rack itself didn’t give any noticeable changes.
  6. How It's Made: Diode Dynamics Factory Tour 2023

Looks awesome! If I'm ever in the area I would love to come by!
  7. Trailrax Roof Rack

I just use the sliders to access my boxes, sometimes I do have to step up on the tire to reach the far end. I'm tall enough to get the box up there myself but if they're completely loaded down and too heavy then I'll have my fiancƩ help me. As far as securing them there's a few ways you can do...

    You'll love it!
  9. Trailrax Roof Rack

Yeah the lightbars are a different brand so they're excluded, I believe it's only on TRailrax branded items. I did see Diode Dynamics was having a sale on their light bars though! https://www.diodedynamics.com/specials
  10. Trailrax Roof Rack

Bummer. Some of the accessories are 15% off though, so I’ll probably take advantage of that while I can. I want a set of the handles and another universal plate for my Pak Rax
  11. Any recommendations for a deflater and portable compressor?

I’ve had this deflator and this compressor for about 3 years now and have been happy with them both. There is a smaller version of the compressor that’s a little cheaper but will take longer to inflate. I personally don’t have any experience with the Staun deflators but I’ve heard great things...
  12. Trailrax Roof Rack

Interesting, I didn't have that problem with mine. My only mishap was some updated hardware but the old install instructions so that threw me off for a bit. But once I figured out what was going on I was good.
  13. Trailrax Roof Rack

I see so many posts in here about the Trailrax roof racks. I had their products on my Jeep a few years back, and got their 4-door Bronco rack with the Pak Rax. I've had it a few months now and absolutely love it! They're currently having a 4th of July sale with up to 15% off Trailrax products...
  14. Let’s see those Beach pics!

Driving on the island I've always been fine arounds 15-18 but everyone has their own preferences. I think the ferry services recommend about 18
  15. Let’s see those Beach pics!

Be prepared for bugs (horse flies, no-see-ums, sand flies) if the wind dies down because they will swarm FAST and they hurt when they bite. If the wind is up consistently you'll be fine. Definitely air down to drive on the sand. I've always been fine around 15-18 but everyone has their...

this is at the very south end of Cape Lookout. It’s huge during low tide and crazy to see how much gets covered during high
  17. Let’s see those Beach pics!

It definitely could be dangerous if you’re not paying attention to the tides or how hard/soft the sand is under you.

    Trailrax! 10/10 recommend it, it’s awesome. https://bit.ly/3Mq1en8

  20. Summer Road Trip! Covered 6k Miles Over 4 Weeks

The blue 2D you see in one of the photos is actually @ModifyMike. As for the photo you quoted, I just laid the back seats down and used the leveling pads and air mattress from @deepsleep Overland to make the bed setup! It’s super easy and very comfortable
