  1. We need this retro inspired grill ASAP

That is the look I am going for... modern retro. I picked out same wheels for my build. I'm basically going to build an ICON Bronco
  2. Second Thoughts on Manual Transmission

I like manuals, but find them unnecessary nowadays. I get people that still want to row the gears, but I'd find it a chore on my daily commute. What I'd like is if manufacturers would just make it so you can have manual when you want and auto any other time. I am not talking the current...
  3. Not getting a Bronco for the dirt .

I plan on getting a Warthog. I have no intention of taking it offroad. About the only offroad it is going to see is hitting potholes at speed around Chicago or driving through my unplowed alley after a snow. It will be a daily driver family hauler. I figure I might as well drive something...
  4. MIC Top looking ...

I'm fine with the MIC gray top. I didn't see what all the fuss was about. My only complaint is the lack of the white top which really makes Broncos pop.
  5. Am I the only one who hasn't heard of Filson?

Filson makes nice stuff, but may be too hoity - toity for some folks as evidenced by the number of folks who haven't heard of the brand. It is pretty much a high end hipster brand now. I'd kill to get that Filson interior as an option.... I'd be interested in some Carhartt treatment.
  6. Anyone planning on swapping out their Sasquatch fender flares?

I just never got that I'm driving a skateboard look... but hey, whatever floats their boat.
  7. First Edition Bronco (Pre-Production) with Rear Cupholders Spotted

I really hoped they'd offer some plaids or something like that Filson interior. I love how the Icon Broncos use Chilwich on the seats. At a minimum, I would have wanted a plain black or brown leather. They really over complicated it with the two tone stuff. Ford really dropped the ball...
  8. Live Reveal: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392

I still prefer a Bronco. I'm hoping it speeds up Ford's timeline on release of the Warthog since I decided to wait.
  9. 4-door Bronco = 4X4 Explorer??

I will be trading a Jeep Grand Cherokee for a Bronco. The reality is that my JGC will probably be a better car all around for me. I have no intention whatsoever of off roading. However, the JGC is too appliance like. It lacks soul. The bronco will have character. The reality is that 99%...
  10. SYNC 4 hands on demo with the 12" screen (2021 F-150)

Yes. That isn't the point though. The point is the screens do not age well in cars and the manufacturers are really bad at tech and keeping up with new developments. To make matters worse, they've all but killed the aftermarket designing dashboards around a screen instead of a standard...
  11. SYNC 4 hands on demo with the 12" screen (2021 F-150)

I really wish manufacturers would go back to analog and leave the screens out of the car or at least give us an option to not have it. All I care about is being able to stream music. The nav on phones work way better. These screens don't age well in cars and the manufacturers aren't going to...
  12. LAST CALL: Badlands 33” vs. 35” (Pros & Cons) Worth the upgrade to 35” tires?

Tire choice seems to make all the difference in the world to me... this looks great. However, some of the other 4 doors with less aggressive tread pattern look like the wheels are too small.
  13. 4dr Wild Track | Area 51 | Sasquatch

This is what I keep struggling with... The 2 door looks great. However, I don't know if it is the angle of photo / tire selection or what but the four door always seems like the tires are too small even when they are 35s; especially compared to the build and price photos. Every now and then I...
  14. Bronco Overland Rig walk-through and prototype driving impressions by Loren Healy

I am loving that concept vehicle. I am really torn. If I can get a badlands / wildtrak to look like the concept I'd be happy. However, I still have a little voice telling me to wait on the Warthog.
  15. Cactus Gray (Bronco) vs Sting Gray (Jeep Grand Cherokee)

That rapid red 2 door looks great. It is really calling my name. I really like the 2 door, but I know with two kids the four door is way more practical.
  16. Cactus Gray (Bronco) vs Sting Gray (Jeep Grand Cherokee)

Thanks! This is helpful. I have a JGC and was wondering how it might compare.
  17. Breaking: More bronco rock crawling testing footage ;)

It is an addictive hobby. Seriously, it is like crack. The engineering and tech in the cars is amazing. My race cars are 2wd / 4wd. Oil filled shocks, three diffs. You learn a lot about how cars are setup for optimal performance (camber, toe, diffs, roll center, etc). Really an amazing...
  18. Is anyone considering waiting for the Warthog instead of getting a BL or WC when Ford starts shipping them?

I decided to wait on the Warthog. Not crazy about the current build options and really would like a more powerful engine. I like the raptors but not in the market for a pickup truck. Mine is more of a family hauler. I'm at that age where I want to buy what I want instead of compromising. I...
  19. Breaking: More bronco rock crawling testing footage ;)

They are usually kits. You have to supply motor, ESC, batteries, radio / transmitter. Will need a decent set of RC tools as well. These aren't "toy grade" rc cars... you can spend well over $1000. There are some RTR kits or ready to race kits but the parts / durability usually aren't that...
  20. Whats your lifestyle, and how do you see the Bronco fitting into it?

47... married, two kids. I've always liked off road trucks but never purchased one. I had a v8 Touareg and now a v8 GJC. I want a vehicle that is a bit more rugged in looks and interior, but still has the modern features that make hauling a wife and kid around easy and safe. I also want a...
