I have officially defected.
I started this new car search looking for a pickup truck and after endless back and forth realized that’s what I still needed and wanted. The good news is that this forum eventually led me to my new truck.
I ended up with a 2021 Ranger FX4 in carbonized grey with...
If Toyota has any sense and are actually planning an FJ replacement of some kind they need to announce it or at least get the rumor mill pumping harder before bronco deliveries start. They could take a little wind out of Ford’s sails if they timed it right. I know an FJ replacement that deals...
I wish you could spec the base with the mod top. That shadow black would look sick with a mod top at such a good price. Budget about $2500 and show up to the dealership with your new wheels and tires ready to go.
lol a real V6? I think I would rather have a twin turbo v6 making over 300hp then a wheezy old v6 from 15 years ago. The 3.5 EB in my truck is a monster and faster than a lot of the v8 trucks on the road due to the instantly available torque. They don’t sound quite as cool but when the turbos...
There’s no denying the black on black looks good. I switched to carbon grey at the last minute because I was worried about getting a lot of trail scratches but BD in black with the MOD top would be killer.
I’ve seen a few people try to deny there is a “new” MIC hard top but looking at this I don’t see how you could argue. That is light grey and it looks really really bad with the black. I sincerely hope the top really comes darker then that.
I was looking at some info on the next gen ranger tonight and I am sort of confused about when it will launch. Since the Bronco is slated to begin production shortly and the next gen ranger shares a platform, doesn’t that mean the 2022 ranger will be the new generation? All the ranger centric...
Definitely get plenty of pictures. Can’t think of anything I specifically want to see that will likely be at the show. They are still mostly showing higher trim models for obvious reasons. The trims I want to see the most are base, BB, and BD since those are the ones we’ve seen the least.
People really missing the point of this thing. Trucks have gotten very expensive to the average consumer. Most suburban truck shoppers that want a bed to throw mulch in and take debris to the dump don’t need or want an F-150 sized truck that costs $50k. Even comparing to the ridgeline is wrong...
if it is still just a reservation then it’s just a quick phone call to Ford and you can move it anywhere you want. The whole process will take about 10 mins. Once it gets converted to an order it’s trickier to move but not impossible. Just more phone calls and waiting.
At 3% under invoice you are already doing extremely well. I don’t think there is going to be much more meat on the bone for the dealership to negotiate with for a 2021. I imagine unless sales are poor that it is going to be a few years until deals like that are common. Some dealerships are...
I am not surprised since $100 isn’t much skin in the game. If they made it $500 the number of reservations to converted orders would be closer. At $100 you are going to get a large number of tire kickers.
Take a look at a picture of the 4D Bronco with the back seats folded down. The load floor of the rear is lower than the seat backs when they are folded down. With the slide out tailgate installed, the whole back becomes a flat level surface. It would be easier to slide something heavy in the...
I am hoping it doesn’t end up being obscenely expensive. It’s cool but one of those things I’m not going to plop down $1000 for or anything crazy like that. If they price it wrong I doubt many people will jump on it. You could build a leveling platform and cover it with something durable for...
I guess the confusion comes from reliability being the topic at hand. The list there doesn’t really delve too deeply into that. Something like the JDPower ranking would offer a little more info here. Depending on the year Ford generally ranks in the top half of reliability rankings. Vehicle...
