Can you just shut up and leave this forum already? We all know you hate the new bronco because "MUH 1966!". So why don't you just go fart around with all the other old folk at the car show with their old Broncos and leave us to hit the trails in our BETTER Broncos?
Edit: @Nickp You're clearly...
Also, that engine note is DEFINITELY the V6! Disappointed to hear an auto behind it, but it definitely has me more hopeful than before for a manual, standard trim V6 Bronco! Take a listen to the touring exhaust here back to back with the Bronco engine note in the video... it's identical
This was the biggest thing that caught my attention from the video too... how cool would it be if Ford put the spare tire on some kind of hinge system that drops it clear of the bumper it integrate a tailgate without having it swing back and interfere with how close you can get to the tailgate...
Also came to comment on the prevalence of square fenders...
me thinks the original design was mostly the same, but with square flares. Then when the focus groups said it looked too much like a Jeep, the designers and engineers probably wanted to go with a molded square-shaped flare (like on the...
Also, cyber orange looks AWESOME in this picture. I'm sure it's doctored up to make it look more orange, but I also think the previous spy shot was overexposed to make it look more yellow. I'm excited to see it in person
Still holding on hope for Orange Fury, though
Or you'll have to take a trip to the YMCA for a computer education course and then hop on that Forscan to change the values yourself...
It isn't difficult, I've done it in my Mustang... and I'm relatively computer illiterate for a young buck
Well, I guess that's official confirmation of the bushwhacker flares... *sigh*
But at least they look like they're fairly well executed. They go well with the black details and black front bumper. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what it'll look like with paint matched flares and a chrome...
Nah, I'm in the "2.3 isn't enough" camp. Is it just barely more power and torque than the competitors? Sure. But I want to have more than just petty bragging rights over the competitors, I want to be able to FEEL the difference. Give me something with enough power to blow me away, not just...
Oh yeah? Well guess what...
They also make a loud 5L twin turbo 8 cylinder engine that produces 1600hp and 1100 ft-lbs of torque... and that’s even without FreeValve. FreeValve is said to increase power by about 45%, so that’d be almost 2500hp WITH freevalve
So yeah, shut the fuck up and let...
Engine sounds awful, but sounds like the V6. I’m not too terribly concerned how this truck sounds (although a hearty V8 would be pleasant), but it’s refreshing to be reassured by the V6
Edit: the closer I listen to both it and Rangers with exhaust upgrades, it’s not seeming too reassuring...
Guess I have to be the one to say it...
That tailgate sure is damn cool... would be nice if the Bronco could get that... you know, rather than a useless swing gate
BRING ON THE CHAIRS, BITCHES!!!
I feel this. Ford has been REALLY pissing me off lately, but damnit they've also been releasing vehicles that REALLY appeal to me. I might be selling my Mustang to buy a Mach 1 and buying a Bronco (although if that happens, it'll likely push my Bronco purchase back another year, as I wanted to...
Yep, I think this confirms Cyber Orange for me. Tbh, from that angle, the flares don't even look that bad! Also, seeing this REALLY makes me want to buy a 2 door, but I know I need a 4 door. Now here's to hoping for a white roof and body color flares!
I don’t necessarily think it’ll be underpowered, but considering I’ll likely be using it to haul somewhere in the 5-6000 lb range, I don’t want to take chances. I know the 2.7 is a monster and would just be better suited to a tow rig
Yeah, if I can have a TTV6 4 door with a manual around the 50k MSRP mark, I'll buy new. If it's going to be any more than that or doesn't offer the manual with the V6, I guess I'll just be buying used and saving a few grand
Well, SUPER excited to see a manual, but extremely disappointed to only confirm it paired to an I4. V6 + manual was a HUGE selling point for me, and if that's not available, it'll be hard for me to justify spending the money for a brand new one
