Well looks like the IAM (International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers) Union has voted to reject their tentative contract and approve a strike. They are the first to do so. They are one of the smaller unions with only about 5,000 members, but not a good sign at all.
Pretty sure Dearborn but they're only like 10 miles apart. I would also say it depends on when you got "shipped". It appears from what people have posted that they consider it shipped when it leaves MAP, then it might take a day or so for it to actually get on a train and start moving.
You...
So when it goes past a scanner it just says "Location" Scanner "State"? I just checked and mine said what sounded like Alexis Scanner Ohio. I couldn't find Alexis Ohio on the system map for Norfolk Southern.
Yeah at this point I am just going to have to hope the rail strike doesn't happen. Mine finally left Trenton Michigan at 9:40 this morning. Don't see how it gets to central North Carolina before the shutdown Friday morning.
I'm not so sure, my tracker still looks like the above and order track still shows awaiting shipment, yet I received my shipped email yesterday morning and have already gotten rail car information from Ford Chat.
At the same time this could explain why when I call it still just says FMBE...
Got my rail info from chat, I am also Norfolk Southern. Unfortunately though when I call the only thing I’ve heard is Oakwood Michigan 5:12 am this morning. Doesn’t leave me very hopeful that it’ll reach central North Carolina before this rail strike.
Order track still shows awaiting shipment for me. The Ford tracker says shipped. I did contact Ford Chat and they told me "No rail car or convoy carrier information notated." So guess they have no idea where my vehicle is 🤦‍♂️
Yeah
Yeah from what I've seen of others posts, the Ford Chat response all depends on who you get and how they interpret the information they have in front of them. If you got rail information and you were able to track it with that I would lean towards that being correct.
I actually calculated it, I am 10 hours from MAP and if Ford would waive the destination and delivery fee and let me fly up and drive it back it would actually be about $1,000 cheaper...
System needs some work and sounds like the training isn't adequate. In Ford's defense, before this whole supply chain issue they probably didn't have nearly as many people ordering vehicles lol
Unfortunately yes, I have seen a number of times where they interpret information wrong. I've seen multiple instances where someone reaches out to Ford Chat and gets an answer and then the next day a new agent tells them something that doesn't line up. I got my build email as well this morning...
From what I am seeing of others build emails go out at 5 am every morning in one big group. So likely since our trackers both switched to built today we should get an email in the morning!
It is on the same page as the modules, you should see it near the top, even if they haven't popped yet it will say Tear Tag and just be blank beside it.
