I got the 9/27 scheduled date email from Ford a month ago. Still no window sticker a day later than that (first clue that I've been pushed). I pinged my dealer to find out. Pretty sure it's been pushed out some.
Well the 27th has come, and still no window sticker so mine is not being built this week I'd suppose. I called the dealer, he said he would check if I got pushed out.
I also was getting suspicious with no window sticker showing up for a 27 Sept build week. So my dealer said he would check. Here's hoping it's not pushed out too far....
Thanks, I may consider those too. They both look very close in size/width:
But to me, looks are the lowest priority on tires. I don't care what they look like on the vehicle, don't care about and barely understand all the talk about "stance". Instead, my needs are:
1. A little taller for a...
I got an email from ford weeks ago telling me I was scheduled for production, 27 Sept. So that is monday. I assume they meant that week, not day. So I just keep checking for a window sticker, nothing yet. If it gets to be next week and nothing, then I'll call my dealer for any additional...
Yeah, I've been confused too on the build week/day thing. I've decoded a blend date is the build day...over time and reading this forum. And it seems a paradox when people say "Simply get your blend date (build date) from the window sticker!" But you don't get the window sticker until about 7...
I, on the other hand, am quite sure they will protect from thrown rocks. It's a matter of simple line-of-sight trajectory. How is a "magic rock" going to fly back from the front tire, make a 90 deg right turn to miss the 6" wide obstacle (steps), then turn 90 deg straight up again, then 90 deg...
I'll make the Curt wireless (lightless) hitch work, but wish I could have just kept the factory tow package with all the wiring set up. But when I cancelled Ford had been calling it a constraint for several months. I was looking at a spring 2022 build....so I cancelled the tow. Got scheduled...
My story is I wanted my bronco quickly, so I cancelled my tow package. One reason is the Bronco really isn't a towing vehicle, compared to my F-150. But even if I sell the truck - the Bronco isn't really a towing vehicle, especially with the manual stick. I cancelled the tow, and got a build...
I decided on the D6 this morning. Yes, it is a little wide, and may be harder to step over if not being used. But to me, the advantages of the 6" wide is less rock chips and dirt on the sides, and easier to put your foot on it to actually use. I just ordered. Don't forget there is a 5% off...
I just ordered a Curt hitch for $118 shipped. Now I'm getting some of these (going through Panda which I hope is reliable - they are on the forum) to have ready for the bronco. I'm trying to decide on the wide or narrow ones, I have a Big Bend coming, regular width tires will be on it always...
My personality is to not panic, not over check status. It's better to just ping the link every 5 days, and be surprised one of them, than to check it every few hours every day.
How can I check if my build date is still 9/27? I don't want to have to bother my dealer every few days. The way I got notified was by email. Are the people getting bumped to later build dates just getting updated emails? Or is there a way in the myriad of tracking sites to find out? Thanks.
Yep, I agree with all you are saying. The spinning of a GOAT dial reminds me of the "Easy Button" that was some tech companies slogan a few years ago. All the arguments about an auto being "better" are about some false perception that the computer and technology will make you win some kind of...
Not in all situations. The computer decides what to do. You can't redline it, you can't shift from 5th directly to 3rd, you can't do a ton of stuff. Experienced drivers want to control the car. People that want to let the car control the situation, and "ride the computer" up the hill...
It's not the manual transmission, it's the driver. Sorry.
4 cylinders have to be revved to get their power. Just like old japanese motorcycles, or my wifes (manual) Mazda 3. You downshift to get to the power. You can't just "push the long pedal thing" and expect power. The automatic does...
This has been asked a lot the past year on this forum, do a search, there are plenty of comments to read from both sides. But to me:
A manual let's you feel the vehicle. From the earliest geared bicycles I rode, to the motorcycle I learned to drive on, you vary how each gear shifts. You can...
