Nice Cyber2D! Whenever the stress of not having a scheduled build gets too great, I take a ride in my '74 914. My smile returns and all is right in my car universe again
Chatted with Ford yesterday. I'm buildable-clean for '23. I'm next in-line at my dealership for an Everglades. Nothing! Maybe they're scheduling other builds first.
New message on the Ford website. This popped up for me when I hit the backdoor page this morning. I've already completed this process but hey - good to know. Note: if you click the View Reservation Details link, you see a slightly different version of the status page. The Url is different...
This doesn't apply to me but I was curious. If you have a Wildtrack order that is now coming standard with the HOSS 3.0 pkg in '23, are you on the hook for the $2,500 MSRP increase - even with price protection? This was the one thing that really didn't make much sense in the Ford FAQs. I read...
Yes: https://www.iagperformance.com/iag-v2-ez-step-add-on-2021-ford-bronco-2-door-4-door/
There's a V1 and V2. V1 is flush with the top of the rail. V2 is flush with the bottom of the rail. It's about $150 over the hoop steps (for the 4-door).
Ok, that makes sense now. I didn't even think about the rails being tied to +/- hoop steps. I'm going to remove the hoop steps from my order and just stick with my v2 IAG steps then. Thanks!
My immediate thought as well. I have decided to wait till I see it in person. It won't be the first factory sticker I've removed. Of course, I'm the kid that pulled all the reflectors off his huffy bike back in the 70s. :p
For the Everglades, does anybody know if the rock rails are any different than the "normal" rock rails? Asking because I've got a set of IAG steps ready to go. If so, I might have to order the hoops steps instead.
Yeah, like 3 people have been scheduled in Oct, so far. Perhaps we might see another round of clean-up scheduling. Doubt it. We're still waiting on our Friday update on Ford's scheduling plan.
I'd recommend not waiting too long to do it (if that's what you decide to do). I once pulled the big FX4 sticker off the side of my brand new F150 with just a fingernail to get it started. It pulled off easy. Wait a year and I think it'll be a different story.
