The keypad is held in the faceplate by those two tabs on either end. It should pop out with very little effort.

My 23 was bumped from 12/5 to 12/12. At this point I have no hopes of it being built before the end of the year.

I'd throw the battery on a charger over night to get it up to a full charge. If its been sitting you may be getting that error message due to low voltage from the battery when it starts if its not a full charge.

Like many others have said, it's not red at all in person. I needed to see it for myself. I took some pix and at least on iPhones, the camera can't capture the true orange color and represents it more reddish. I can assure you it is very orange in person.

Why not Code Orange? Seems the closest to your original choice? I'm in the same boat as you since they killed Velocity Blue. I re-ordered yesterday and went with CO.

I believe the Heritage colors are model specific meaning they will not be available on a Raptor model.
