  1. Badlands delivered without subwoofers in the High package

Have you done this installation and happy with the sound improvement? Does the 6.5 fit into the existing subwoofer enclosure? I’m not “installation fluent” so I’ll be hiring someone (ford dealer or 3rd party shop) Any idea what I’ll pay for the work? How many hours would it take for a capable...
  2. Badlands delivered without subwoofers in the High package

I lucked into this car. It was a car ordered almost 18 months ago, and finally got built on March 3rd. The person that ordered it cancelled the order 2 hours before I called. Serendipity…
  3. Badlands delivered without subwoofers in the High package

My March 3rd 2023 build was delivered with the AM/FM,6 SPKRS,SDARS - 250.00 option...no sub. Is there an easy, inexpensive way to get a sub into this system? I'm not looking for audiophile sound. Simply a bit more dimension at the low end, fitting it into the existing cutout for the sub. From...
  4. 6 speaker stereos versus 7 speaker stereo with subwoofer delete

2 in the kickpanels...2 on top...2 in the rear in the pods. The sub counted as the 7th. That is my build that I just received. Is a March 3 build Badlands SAS 4dr.
  5. 91 Non-Ethanol vs. 93 Octane in the 2.3 10 speed

Anyone have any experience testing the performance difference…if any…between these 2 fuels. I live in NY where Stewart’s stations pump 91 non-ethanol. I’m told it’s generally better for the engine
  6. 10 speed auto in 2.3 vs. 2.7 the same?

Is the transmission part # for the 2.3 and the 2.7 the same? I’m thinking about the Ford Performance tune for my 2.3 but concerned about the additional stress on the tranny and other infrastructure.
  7. New kicker speakers sounds worse than stock

My question is...Is the juice worth the squeeze on this? The stock system is by no means an audiophile's dream, but unless someone is intending on spending a significant amount of $$...like north of $1000...is it worth messing with the stock system?
  8. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

The install is done…exactly as spec @orion1224 So I've managed to install the entire solution to all panels. The only item I had an issue with were the "Z" strips filling the gap between the panel and the frame. I couldn't get the strip adhesive to stick to the panel. Before I went the super...
  9. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

Is the rubber being applied to the panel or the vehicle with panel removed. I can’t tell what I’m looking at.
  10. MIC hard top wind noise reduction …best results so far - using rubber gasket strips

My wife will be a 2nd set of hands. Without entirely removing the top, what would you suggest as the steps once I’ve removed the 10 bolts(4 each side and 2 on top). I can’t figure out how to get something under the top to support it if we’re both lifting it. I’m feeling dumb about this, but I...
  11. MIC hard top wind noise reduction …best results so far - using rubber gasket strips

Thanks. Where did you grab it from and does it need to be lifted to clear any set pins or other positioning factors, or simply slid back? Sorry for the repetitive hits, but your information is awesome and willingness to help is very much appreciated
  12. MIC hard top wind noise reduction …best results so far - using rubber gasket strips

Thanks. Were you able to move the top yourself or do I need another set of hands? I’ve only owned the car for 10 days and have only taken off the 2 front panels. On that note, are you able to take off the middle panel on your own?
  13. MIC hard top wind noise reduction …best results so far - using rubber gasket strips

I’m having a difficult time understanding what I’m looking at in terms of where this is in the truck. Including a wider shot to provide perspective would be very helpful. The same can be said for most of the visuals being posted.
  14. Attention MIC Hard Top Owners - Wind Noise Reduction Hack

Pics are with front and middle panels removed before I stuffed the pipe completely into the gutter.
  15. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

The reality is that this truck will spend the vast majority of its time getting to the destination where the off-road activities will happen. The journey to the destination should be as enjoyable as what happens after you’ve arrived. This wind noise issue is unforgivable bullshit…and it’s not...
  16. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

@ orion1224 Today I put the Armacell pipe tubing in the channels on each side. Really easy to slide them in. The panels had no issue setting back in position when I put them back on. Took a test drive. Can't say I detected a difference, but I didn't expect much with just the 1 and 1st mod. I had...
  17. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

This is an awesome step-by-step. I'm having some trouble with the perspective of the photos for the rear panel. I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Does the rear panel need to come off or is this correction only down the side?. I’m having trouble getting my bearings in the picture.
