12k was what I’ve been told. Who knows if that’s 12k “good” tops or just send 12k and we will sort through them? Don’t know if that was Hard or Soft only or a mix?
As mentioned above, Webasto is an industry leader, so who’s going to replace them and how good will their product be?
Ford is caught...
Yes mate, expat Aussie.. Naturalized American, Proud of both 👍🏻
Webasto is definitely out. Let’s hope whoever they find to replace them can deliver in a timely and quality fashion🤞🏻
But are the being delivered?
A window sticker may mean they had a plan to build, but due to current constraints they’ve decided to go another route.
It’s about how many end up in driveways and there’s not been a lot of that happening lately
What’s Vague? My previous post said halting all deliveries of Bronco’s for 21 except for FE until they get the new roof supplier up and running.
Everything else will be 2022. Don’t know when In 2022 as COVID is a an unknown factor.
Mate, all I know is that there’s a communication coming that’s going to piss off a lot of people. I’m assuming you mean old built tops or are you talking Broncos?
The only certainty is that Webasto is gone and FE’s will be the only guaranteed vehicle to be delivered in 2021.. I really hope they...
I’m not saying they scrap them. If there’s tops left over from the 12000 Webasto is building then maybe they ship some out, but if they have no good replacement tops then I don’t see them shipping anything until the new supplier is ready.
I don’t think Ford wants that bad press.. As mentioned earlier, a headline of “Ford replaced thousands of New Bronco roofs” is all that the majority of people will see.
Most Ford customers aren’t on here or logging into their Ford account every day to check the status of their New Bronco. We’re...
If they don’t have the tops to replace them and they’re not shipping out soft tops in place instead, what other options do they have? How long will it take Ford to get an alternate supplier up and running? At least 5-6 months. I don’t see what other choice is there.. Hence no email update until...
I don’t think you’ll see a recent build like this until 2023 to be honest. Once they’re up and running it’ll take all of next year to catch up on orders. You might get it earlier because of the soft top but slim chance I reckon.
I don’t think they’ll resume producing anything other than FE’s for the rest of the year. I think everyone’s non FE will get pushed to MY22 including everything sitting in purgatory and Ford is not shipping out any of them until they can produce a top with no issues.
They will pick through the...
I would like to think that they get creative with the Broncos they have in the holdings.
My concern is that they just Concentrate all the tops for the FE’s since they committed to them being MY21’s and mothball everything else until they find someone other than Webasto to make the tops.
Mate, the way it sounds is that Ford may not even be able to keep their promise of having FE’s built as MY21’s?
Or maybe they’re taking a look at commodities and thinking that they have enough to make the less than 7000 FE orders they have. Then they can say they met one target at least!
I feel...
I’ve been sitting Priority 1 for over a month now 🤬 I thought it was going to mean something but it seems it just means you’re at the front of the “hurry up and wait” line lol
I look at this post and am split. I think it’s good news that they’re moving up FE’s and hope mine is one of the FE’s...
