I work in the aircraft industry and have seen this occur on headliners of multi-million dollar business jets. Moisture can cause the chemicals that the headliner is treated with (usually a flame retardant) to leach out and when dried create white powder residue, very similar to what you are...
I can't speak for what other dealers do and were straying away from topic. My reference is for if I want your business, I need to be competitive in price to beat the other guy to get that business. If I mark up XX% over MSRP and is no longer affordable, worth that value, or more than the other...
I get it and making a profit is acceptable but Ford is the working mans vehicle, not the elites play toy. If your only buying to flip and make a profit, your just screwing over someone who really wants one and now can't afford it because its so over priced.
LOL. I was here, and should have bought 30 homes for pennies on the dollar, made a fortune selling them today, oh wait maybe that was 04 but Alas only smarter now than I was then. Will still wait for my ordered Bronco to deliver and pay agreed signed MSRP only when it arrives .
As a firearms dealer, if I sold my products 38% over MSRP, I would never make a sale. To do that with a vehicle today still makes me think people just don't have any brains.
Starting to see more and more Broncos showing for sale on Dealer lots, Carvana, Autotrade, etc. Huge ADM fees attached of course and amazes me that people are willing to pay those prices while so many are still waiting just to get their Bronco that was ordered. Wish there was a way to tag those...
Is there another dealer in your area? Sounds like you need to do like some of the others I have seen on here, go to another dealer and place an order with them. Don't cancel but look at a second source order option, then go to the one that comes in first.
To make things worse, just saw my first bronco in the wild today when leaving work. Was a BL/soft top/CO and looked great from where I was sitting, just not fast enough to get a pic.
There are ways and many threads on tracking if you have a VIN number. I ordered late through my dealer and all I have is the order build sheet and my signed contract with the dealer on the price.
I can't say that I am impressed but the wife loves it. In all fairness, I drive the F150 daily with a 5.0 so is not a fair comparison to the EcoSport. It gets great gas mileage and am pretty sure I will have a better opinion of it when we drive to California and back for the holidays.
Yeah, Vrticle said that dealer orders are having a problem showing up. I will just continue to call once a month to my dealer and check status if it never shows up. Maybe they will get tired of that and update my information.
