I am sorry for the hassle dealing with the aftermath of a break in. That sucks. I am not surprised on lack of parts availability. I have been waiting six weeks for my ford dealer to get clips for rear panels in the back. Says they are on back order and they didn’t have an eta.
Good feedback from the desert rats. I removed my soft top completely about theee months ago and have been running the jtop Bimini since mid may. It gets warm with out the top, but find ac cranked on high does just enough to make it bearable on the hot days. I am definitely thin blooded and I...
I live in AZ, and although the real heat is on its way, we’ve seen some hot days. I installed my top about three weeks ago and have no issues. Time will tell if the attachment Velcro works long term, but it looks like it will be just fine. Very pleased with my purchase.
Thought my plate was straight forward. Dropped off for an oil change at the ford dealership and the service rep, said “off rodeo drive, that’s clever”.
Just added my Bimini today. Looks like a phenomenal product and I am very pleased with the purchase! The update to square off the back of the top, was a great update. I have been waiting to ditch the soft top.
One note I would add to those that will install this top. I would recommend taking...
I believe I found the source of the popping and rattling in the back of my Bronco. There are several clips holding the back plastic trunk panels in place that are either disconnected or broken. See picture if that is helpful. After several calls to the dealership to schedule appointment, they...
Update for anyone experiencing unusual rattles. When removing my soft top, I found trunk panel on the drivers side was totally disconnected from clips. The passenger side trunk panel has broken clips. Not sure if this is a design flaw, but will either need new clips or will need a service...
Echo previous comment on use during decent. I found it very useful for a steep decline and didn’t want to worry about locking up tires. I will say that that the gas peddle seems supper sensitive so it’s good to get a feel before using.
Also, my buddy in a Rubicon was wondering why his rig...
Also live in AZ. I presume the OP is referring to the registration tax/fee. We do have those here, and a portion of that is deductible as a property tax. I think I paid over $800 for the first year, but that includes a customized plate. Year 2 will be $655. I believe all counties are the same...
Interesting. I bought from a LHM dealership last September, and they indicated they would provide something along these lines for “waiting” through whole process. They explained that’s how they were using the Bronco promo cash provided by Ford. I already attended the off roadeo in Moab, but was...
Telling a friend about your post. He said “you can be right, or you can be happy”. He quickly added, “I meant, you can be right or you can be married”. Hahaha. That’s wisdom!
Couple variables here behind your control, or anyones for that matter. More risk/reward if you purchase the obx while...
After a failed attempt at a service appointment (the dealership was short handed with techs and wanted to keep the car for five days), I had to figure out the rattle before the soft top ended up in the closest dumpster. I think I found my culprit. The soft top arm (passenger side only) was...
I tried that approach, and it was sooooo close to working... The light bar is about 1/4" to deep and it would rub the painted piece that's part of the grill. I am worried about taking out a tree or a bush and causing damage to the lightbar. The consensus in my friend group is the baja design...
I would like to move the light bar to be on top of the bumper. If going the fabrication route, I could try and modify the existing brackets instead of starting from scratch.
I am in the same position. I talked to a friend about fabricating brackets, but I have been waiting to see if somebody will introduce. BTW, I am currently using one of the bracket sets that Baja Designs supplies in an install kit. It works, but just doesnt look right...
No deal. The rep I spoke with communicated that they are not selling the brackets separately at this time, but suggested checking back. He indicated that they develop brackets and a lot of the stuff internally, so maybe something will come out.
On a really positive note, he checked to see...
