  1. Dates for 2021 Bronco Order Acceptance, Scheduling and Production Start Revealed!

So, in a month will they have a full list of options and accessories able to be priced out along with availability dates?
  2. Black diamond 12" upgrade w/ pics on b+p

Yeah, exactly. That's the way most places do it, but that's not the way it works on the B&P. You do not have that option currently from Ford. Could be glitch, but seems like a pretty obvious one to miss on a release, since its the only available package on that trim.
  3. Black diamond 12" upgrade w/ pics on b+p

Exactly! And it isn't like Jeep set it up that way as a response to Ford. That's the way it was before the Bronco got announced. Jeep splits what's in Bronco's mid package into Tech, Convenience, and Safety then allows you to add whatever you want without changing the drivetrain, recognizing...
  4. Black diamond 12" upgrade w/ pics on b+p

Jeep allows you to spec the entire tech package and the safety group without arbitrarily removing the manual transmission. For me, that's not Ford winning. Edit: And, as a note, Jeep let's you add convenience group with Remote start to a manual transmission setup, it just removes the remote...
  5. Black diamond 12" upgrade w/ pics on b+p

Exactly. If I want a 12" screen, I need to get an automatic transmission too. Super frustrating. There's a lot of features in the mid package that I would like to have, but I love driving a manual, which forces me into a frustrating trade-off.
  6. Black diamond 12" upgrade w/ pics on b+p

They still lose me at the point where I can't get this and a manual transmission. I assume since the mid package includes remote start, which I don't really want, it negates the entire set for compatibility with the manual because...reasons?
  7. Road noise - carpet vs rubber. Do you think rubber floor has sound deadening?

My car has this kind of interior and honestly it doesn't seem that loud to me. Keep in mind, the Element with the seats out is basically a giant rubber and plastic cave, but I don't seem to notice much road noise. I think it depends on how well designed the system is. Having said that... So...
  8. Let's help Ford help us.

The top three things that would have me considering holding off on being a first year purchaser and/or shopping around. 1.) Lack of cargo usability options: If the back of my 2-door BD is full of carpet and no available leveling, I will consider waiting/comparing. Oddly the build and price is...
  9. INTERIOR COLORS & MATERIALS Walkthrough Video Posted

I initially thought it was cool, but I am bothered that the interior trim accents are in colors we can't get on the car. I think the BD is grabber blue. The closest I can get is velocity blue, which just makes it look like Ford sucks at matching colors rather than a confusing, deliberate choice.
  10. INTERIOR COLORS & MATERIALS Walkthrough Video Posted

I feel like all of these forced colors should of been priced optional upgrades from a neutral base. Exterior matched grab handles, exterior matched stitching, bronzed dash, camo seats, etc. Then they could of launched B&P with more than the couple dozen accessories we have currently.
  11. Anyone Now on the Bronco Fence or Totally Off It Now that the B&P is Out?

I am in Black Diamond area right now, so I wasn't too disappointed but it does seem like the higher trims got the more raw end of pricing. I was leaning toward velocity blue, but I think the interior trim on the BD is a different color of blue, which given the exposed paint surface on the...
  12. Color Locking Based on Trim

Consumer unfriendly business practices are the providence of extremely large companies that tend to lock out unestablished competitors, which itself locks out competitive innovations. Imagine if an automobile manufacturer came along and offered fully modular vehicles, no trims, that are shipped...
  13. Addressing Bronco Nation Friction

I agree, seems like a jerk move. However, if I know organizations this it is likely the result of hasty and ill-thought out decision made by just a few individuals that would not of passed the scrutiny of the group. I would be hesitant to generalize the organization or its goals based on a low...
  14. Video demonstration of rear seats folded down flat in 2 Door Bronco (from Bronco Super Celebration)

The gap is pretty big though. Most bucket rear seats don't have that large of a gap between them and fit together nicely.. I mean I don't think anyone expected a bench seat but part of a good fit and finish is not having odd gaps like that. Something they may still polish up later.
  15. Video demonstration of rear seats folded down flat in 2 Door Bronco (from Bronco Super Celebration)

I don't have any carpet in my car. I take a mop to the inside and it looks almost identical to what it did new. After 200,000 miles of camping, dogs, hiking, dirt, gravel, and everything else. When I sell it, I won't have to detail it or buy new mats. To each their own, but personally I...
  16. Video demonstration of rear seats folded down flat in 2 Door Bronco (from Bronco Super Celebration)

To give some idea of potential solutions that other body on frame vehicles figured out: Again, the Jimny. This is just a inserted storage bin that makes the floor level with an overlapping foldable piece. All surfaces are hard, tough plastic. They can also reduce the impact by creating a...
  17. Video demonstration of rear seats folded down flat in 2 Door Bronco (from Bronco Super Celebration)

Right, but they stated it isn't available on the 2-door. They could also easily do a lockable bin. I get secure, dry storage when the top is off and a level load floor. Sure seems worth losing 4 inches of cargo depth.
  18. Video demonstration of rear seats folded down flat in 2 Door Bronco (from Bronco Super Celebration)

Not an engineer, but the smart way to do it is to sell an accessory that does the former while leaving the option for the latter. Granted, we have no proof they aren't doing that for the 2-door, but sure seems like missed cash if not.
  19. Video demonstration of rear seats folded down flat in 2 Door Bronco (from Bronco Super Celebration)

Body on frame means you raise with inserts and bins and unibody means you drop into. Neither means the problem is unsolvable. P.S. - I can post pictures of body on frame who have way better load floor solutions all day.
  20. Video demonstration of rear seats folded down flat in 2 Door Bronco (from Bronco Super Celebration)

Just include a bed box in the rear section that levels the floor. Again, see my picture of the Jimny above which is MUCH smaller than the Bronco. I know that can be bought aftermarket, but I am not a fan of needing aftermarket solutions to solve manufacturing oversights. Especially since if it...
