I suspect you are right. Looks like C42WR is a etrailer item #. Etrailer sent me a link to order Curt#56468 based on my Vin after I informed them the the more expensive unit did not work. Hopefully a solution is figured out by one of you wiring gurus. My brain freezes when I look at that diagram.

Same issue. Dealer first said it wasn’t covered because I had window tint applied but have since changed their tune. No resolution yet, opened ticket.

I was hoping for the dolly use also. Im now going the tow bar path(better way) but it might possible to use dolly. Today I noticed a tow truck towing a suv with the front up and the rear wheels upon strap-on wheels. Seems like a lot of work and your dolly would need brakes.

I think they mean if you use them their liability in negated. You can put chicken wire over them too but you have no recourse if say it removes your head in a crash

Have a towel handy or park under cover. Both work well! You gotta take the good with the bad. Otherwise it might not be the right vehicle for you.
