Is your Wildtrak relatively new? My Sasquatch Badlands did this at first but has since worn in a bit. It no longer has the extreme force but it still tends to swing towards the closed position if it's not locked into one of the indents.

Yes it works just fine. I have this installed on my Bronco and have had no issues whatsoever. I actually had it slightly shown in one of my photos.
