My Badlands didn't come with a sound deadening/fire retardant pad under the hood. I just assumed that was standard. I assumed wrong. It's an option, and I can only surmise that it's part of the sound deadening package.

I just ordered the RedLine. I looked at the Rough Country's which were $30 cheaper but that required removing the fender bolts. For $30, I'll save myself the hassle AND support a Michigan company. Go Blue!

I'm familiar with steel but not stainless. Does powder coating scratch easier on carbon steel than stainless? And isn't the stock front bumper powder coated carbon steel? I'm not trying to start a debate. Genuinely trying to learn so when I make a purchase, I make an informed purchase.

Curious why you went with Stainless? Why not carbon steel if you're powder coating? Is it just for rust proof precaution?
