I don't think I've ever driven a stick anything with more than 200hp lol. I would LOVE to get a chance to try it in a mustang or a hellcat challenger or a vette.
I don't want to crush your hopes and dreams, and I do hope that the Bronco has good mileage. But, I suspect, that this is not one of those vehicles you buy with economy as your first motive.
Perhaps take a look at the Sport? It seems to be a little bit more economically friendly.
Don't feel too bad. My folks made me take my drivers test with our stick shift vehicle when we had a perfectly good automatic at home too lol.
I've taught a lot of people to drive manuals in my old jeeps. Put 'er in low range and its hard to really screw anything up. Except one girl who...
But you have a torque converter, which helps a ton, and no clutch to fuss with. I had assumed the automatic would only be marginally faster than the stick. Thanks for putting the numbers to it.
All things considered, both the stick and the auto are slow as F in low range for factory...
I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore rockcrawler, but I have spent a lot of time around people who are. And honestly anybody who is a hardcore crawler guy is building their own rig anyways.
The wrangler rubi (in my opinion) is not a rockcrawler in any sense of the word of what actual rockcrawling is...
This comment reminded me of another reason I generally prefer the automatic. I've been on some ugly off camber trails before, and if it's wet or snowy, sometimes your ass end likes to try and slide you down a cliff. When you feel the slide and get yourself stopped, it's generally inadvisable...
That was a clear, concise, well delivered video. Excellent.
On the flip side though, doesn't an automatics torque converter add some sort of theoretical additional crawl ratio? I would imagine when you get down to it, the auto crawls only a bit faster than the manual.
95:1 is phenomenal in a...
Business Development Manager for the West Coast for a company that produces manufactured goods.
Haven't been on an airplane since mid march. Feels very strange.
Seattle based company (I actually sold them their pallet rack for their SeaTac facility years ago when I lived up there)
My dad still wears some filson clothes he bought in the 80s that are holding up. I have a few pieces of their clothing (jackets, hats) and they're exceptionally well made...
You'd have to take the spare off the back then. Hefting a 33" or 35" tire up from a flat position is not something your average person is going to want to try and do.
I'm gonna go with this:
or this:
The sheer absurdity of some fool blasting ridiculous pirate metal out of a vehicle that noone has really seen before. I think the opportunity must be grasped.
Edit, maybe this:
Business Development Manager for a manufacturer. I take care of all of our distribution business on the West Coast. Usually on the road 3-4 days a week. Wuhan has shut that down since March.
Apologies. I didn't mean to cause any disturbance. Just not used to taking people seriously who use emojis instead of text. I'll toss a couple bucks to my local school system and make sure to watch my comments in the future. Thanks for the heads up.
Your excessive use of emojis is making my eyes bleed. Aside from that, you insinuated that you could just stick 40s on a factory Bronco and run it. The link you posted above is a guy who has far more time, money, and winning racing history than any of us have.
Give me $20m and I'll put 40s on...
You can't "kick Jeep's arse" if your drivetrain explodes. You wanna push 40s on a Dana axle, you're running Dana 60s at a (very conservative) minimum. You can't just put bigger tires on a rig with sufficient clearance and pretend it's all ok.
You want to run 40's and offroad them, you're...
2 offroad rigs before that TJ I spoke about, I had a '79 F150 with a 351m bored .060 over. 35" tires and Aussie lockers front and rear. Bought the damn thing for $2500 as is, and rattle-can painted it black in my driveway with walmart spraypaint. It had the 4spd, and I think first was 7:1(?)...
