  1. Problems with K02s?

Currently have a 315/70r17 C-load set on my WT, they certainly took some weight to balance but not a shocking amount for a tire that size. Good on you for getting them road force balanced and finding a dud. Wouldn't have been my first choice if the market was flush with C load range options...
  2. Bought second rear tow hook from Ford

Mine certainly took at least that when taking the plastic rear bumper off
  3. 💰 [Updated 8/14] Official 2024 Bronco PRICES and Model Changes -- Colors, Trims, Equipment & More

Why on earth would they get rid of their most popular non-black/white/silver color?
  4. 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser World Premiere 📣 Hybrid Only For U.S. and Pricing Starts Mid-$50K

Jokes aside, after some moderately toasty aviating this afternoon, I settled in for a shower, but since the water runs up a west facing wall, I had to turn it all the way on hot to get the coolest water. I’m ready for October.
  5. 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser World Premiere 📣 Hybrid Only For U.S. and Pricing Starts Mid-$50K

One of the few downsides of living in Texas I suppose. Heat index around 110° isn't unusual here, especially this summer with the damn back-to-back high pressure systems parked over us all last month. Being outside without shade right now, it doesn't take long to approach the line that...
  6. Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 315/70R17 max PSI only 35?

You won't hurt it running 35 psi, but I think you'll find that even that is a bit excessive for the best on-road ride. Fair warning, the AT3w is a chonky boy, 69 lbs and change.
  7. 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser World Premiere 📣 Hybrid Only For U.S. and Pricing Starts Mid-$50K

I'm in that camp a bit, I look at the bronco as a vehicle that's stupid fun for reasons other than being a convertible. I'll occasionally take the front row panels off for the commute home or the middle one as well if the kids ask during the two weeks a year when our weather doesn't classify as...
  8. 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser World Premiere 📣 Hybrid Only For U.S. and Pricing Starts Mid-$50K

Not wild about the powertrain choice (guess much like the GX/4r relationship, you have to buy Lexus to get more displacement), but other than that I do quite like it. For my 99% commuting/1% offroading use case, probably makes more sense than the Bronco does.
  9. Aviation Photo and BS thread

I don't have any experience in a Citabria without the spades, but the people I've talked to about them consider them mandatory equipment to keep control forces in check. It's absolutely a wonderfully forgiving taildragger, which is great since I go longer periods of time in between flying...
  10. Aviation Photo and BS thread

Finally got out and shook off the tailwheel rust. I had forgotten just how much fun the Citabria is, pure joy from cranking the starter until yanking the mixture. Was truly a shame about the clause in the rental agreement forbidding aerobatics.
  11. Best 35" Street Tire: But MT Look, terraincontact?

I'm in the K02 replacement camp as well, by 11k mi the stock GYs had started to howl like worn down mud tires on the highway and one needed half a pound of weight to balance. It was a remarkable difference with the K02s, my only regret so far is that I didn't get them sooner.
  12. Tow Package arrived - contents inside

Good lord, Ikea would be proud of those instructions
  13. Steel Rear Bumper Parking Aid Sensor Retainers

That has been the case for a bit, one of the clips is 10x the price as the rest, but it is the correct part number and the correct item came from Ruxer 🤷‍♂️
  14. WARNING Wheel Beauty Ring Removal - Bronco

I got a crash course in this when a certain chain tire shop removed my rings to install new tires and put them back on without the valve stem clearances lined up with the valve stems (well, four out of five, one they lined up correctly). Thankfully no issues getting them out or back in after a...
  15. Replacing factory bumper with modular bumper

If you mean the single point connector on the left hand side of the vehicle, it's a tight fit at the connector, and for whatever reason there's less slack when you reuse the plastic bumper harness.
  16. New C-Load 315/70r17 Falken Wildpeaks?

Where did you run across that? I just looked at Falken's spec sheet on their website and they have it listed at 69.2 lbs now.
  17. Interior Sound Level Decibels Test -- Soft Top vs. Hard Top vs. No Top

Ditching the Goodyears was a "why didn't I do this sooner" moment. Had 12k mi on them (and yes, with regular rotations) and they overpowered the wind noise at absolutely every speed. With them gone its now easier to have conversations with my kiddos in the back seat and I don't have the radio...
  18. Interior Sound Level Decibels Test -- Soft Top vs. Hard Top vs. No Top

I can see why the two tops would have a comparable SPL on a meter, but as others have mentioned that doesn't really quantify what it lets in. I've driven both and the soft top lets in remarkably more ambient sound (and that of other vehicles around you). They're not louder than the wind and...
  19. Does anyone run doors off but hard top on?

I do, but then my heritage is a cocktail of all the European ethnicities who are allergic to sunlight.
