That's true actually, I completely forgot my wife had a 4Runner with the same thing on it. I still think some of the retro theme and beefing it up off road wise can be contributed to the Bronco's success.

What do you think you will use a front locker for? The 2.3 manual I can vouch for is very fun to drive, it was the motivating factor for me to move to a Bronco from a JL. I love it, so....if you are going that route, then yeah I would go Badlands, get the 33" tires and not change a thing.

Yeah, I mean I'm taking a hose to the floorboard, so........power seats are a hard no. On a positive note, I'm surprisingly happy with the vinyl seats, they don't hold sand, the heat with the top off calms down relatively quickly, and they are so much more comfortable overall than the JL seats.

Rear cargo area - just check the back of the lid. It probably doesn't matter if there's stuff in there or not, once it starts, it's pretty hard to get rid of it.

Check the cargo lid (underneath), I'm surprised no one mentioned this......it's carpeted, if you have stuff in there (or maybe even if you don't) it will get condensation and get really really musty. To the point you can smell it in inside (with the top on). This may just be a MGV/vinyl issue...

My 7MT was built in February 2023 (well the Bronco was, transmission date was October 2022 I believe when I looked). 4000 miles, zero issues, it does make a bit of a noise at startup but goes away really quickly. Shifts incredibly smooth, a joy to drive on and off road.

Any solution to this yet?
