It's top up (or was) in my case. Someone else posted here they think it's the bar above the rear window making the noise from the added pressure.

I had to take mine off, the noise from installing it just got progressively worse. Smaller bumps started causing the noise, even. The noise disappeared after taking it off.

It only got worse for me, I ended up taking it off and the noise is gone.

I just took the struts out and the squeak / creak is gone.

I saw your post after writing that one and also noticed the rear Velcro wasn’t going down as far. Were you able to reproduce the noise from that bar by shaking it or anything?

No dice on the bolts under the plastic panel. They were tightened up. The only thing that I thought maybe was a little rubber hose that was wedged between the bracket and body, but that wasn’t it either. The sound persists and is maybe even worse now. I’m at the point where I’ll probably just...

I’ll give this a shot tomorrow and report back.

I’ll check again to be sure, but I ran my hand between to make sure there’s clearance. The only suggestion IAG had was to remove the inside panel in the back and make sure the bolts are tightened. I’m anal enough to where if that or some wd-40 doesn’t stop the noise I’m gonna go back to the...

I can try that first but if that doesn’t do it I’m about to remove the struts, test drive, etc. and see if the sound disappears. It’s a pretty consistent noise now, even just over minor bumps in the road. The noise definitely wasn’t there before installation.

So I've discovered an annoying creak / squeak while driving, which appeared after installing the IAG ez-lift soft top assist. It's the same sound as below when pushing on the area myself. Someone else in the dedicated thread for it has started hearing a similar sound.

Found the spot. Not sure if the bolt there being tightened any would make a difference at all. @IAG Performance any ideas for cause or solution? I'm curious how much trouble it would be removing the strut on that side and seeing if the sound persists.

Top all the way up. It’s possible the top itself has decided to start squeaking with no relation to the struts, but I’ve never noticed it before. I’ll have to go back there and check the hardware. Maybe I’ll get my fiancée to record some sound in the back, haha.

Not a big deal, but has anyone else noticed a squeaking from the soft top when going over bumps after installation?

Just got around to installing mine. Thankfully everything was there despite the box being torn open on the end. Functions as advertised and glad I don’t have to mess with the stupid prop anymore. I will say I have noticed the wrinkle now that others have mentioned.

My Bronco's first blemish was thanks to...a bottle of wine. :LOL: We had our engagement party this week out of town and I had thrown a bottle of wine in the back with everything else stuffed in there. It came dislodged from some bumps and put a couple small chips in the paint of the tailgate...

Nope, bands were still in place.

Mine was delivered Friday but just picked them up tonight from the locker they were delivered to. Was surprised to see the box had been torn open…thankfully so far it looks like nothing is missing but I’ll have to make sure tomorrow.

Just got my shipping notice from IAG for the soft top rear lift assist. I also put the front door pockets in this morning from Mabett.
