Thanks! Registered my FRN but can't figure out how to get to callsign / licensing?
Also, NO repeaters where I'm headed (based on that map / www site) -
Big Bend National Park. ;-)
Perfect! Thank you.
If my intent is just to keep track and talk to 7-8-9 people in wheeling train, do I need to worry about repeaters or programming them in? That's just if I want to talk to someone on the other side of the mountain or if I'm by myself somewhere and need help?
Hi!
Stepping a babyfoot into comms (picked up a relatively inexpensive handheld unit) for an upcoming ride and have NO idea what GMRS is all about (other than you need a license and it has better range).
Can someone give me the direct link for the FCC license and maybe a basic primer on...
I've replaced all the speakers with JL components and put in SSV rear pods. Haven't touched the Sub yet but the plan is to put in a Mobridge plug n play + JL Stealthbox and that should handle everything.
That spirit of adventure?
For me it's not even the camping or overlanding aspect (maybe one day in the future) - it's just the excitement of seeing things and places that most people can't.

Would love an alternative! I like the JL Stealthbox - but at $1200....there's GOT to be another company that makes an oddly shaped enclosure that'll fit a 10in sub back there....
I have the Hammerbuilt and the rotopax option. Lining up the last hingebolt to install it was a complete b!tch and an ordeal, but eventually figured something out. My only gripe is that my 3gal rotopax rattles against the accessory. Ideally I'd like to see some rubber offset mounts on the...
Mabett had their "transformer" tailgate table (the one with upper and lower levels) on sale for $239 +$20 off coupon - so pulled the trigger on that.
Also picked up some hood struts from Broncbuster (on sale for $60) and Al13 Billet gas nozzles for my rotopax.
