  1. Bronco Tie Rod Heim Kit by Fabtech

I bought tie rods of similar design (spherical ball joints etc) for an E36 M3 for $350 a couple years back. Both of the options you quote are very expensive. $800+ for a single pair of links is the category of "platform-designed and modularly adjustable for the expensive track car" suspension...
  2. MGV…The back sweat is real, what gives?

Yep. That sounds like a vinyl seat.
  3. AR | BRONCO CLASSIC DNA Fender Badge

I was hoping for something closer to $150. Would’ve immediately pulled the trigger there. But yeah I’m out at that price. Hopefully the quality matches the charge and the people buying will be happy, though.
  4. Save Moab Trails

ok so I'm trying to read into this, but unsensationalized news is hard to find through the bevy of 4x4 websites posting about it. Here's what I'm piecing together: The Dept of Interior explored setting aside more federal land for oil and gas production. This triggered lawsuits from...
  5. Save Moab Trails

I'm from NY and the rule with beaches was always, "you're allowed off the sand, but the dunes are protected. Stay off the dunes." So what did assholes do? They raced up the dunes and parked on top them of them for pictures. Before I moved, the state had already started closing access to a lot...
  6. Save Moab Trails

I’ve seen a few threads in this over the last few weeks. Seems like a lot of people are externalizing an anger towards the BLM instead of looking at why they’re talking about closing trails. UTVS tearing up roads and a huge amount of people treating the land like a dumpster. If we want to keep...
  7. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

Ohh here's another one. The 6th gen Bronco's design is a knockoff of the 4th gen Suzuki Jimny...and if they were still sold here, I'd buy one of them instead.
  8. How to Bronco: Hero Switches Lesson by Loren Healy & Vaughn Gittin Jr.

I lived in Syracuse, NY for a few years with a powerful RWD car on snow tires. You definitely want to turn off the TC in deep snow once your comfortable with how the car will drive and react in situations. The TC can bug you down by limiting wheel slip when you need it, or it can force you to...
  9. Would 265/80/R17s fit?

You'll probably need to pull the crash bars. But 35s fit under the stock fenders.
  10. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

You see people like that on every new car forum. And frankly, it's why I still have my 2008 BMW. It has enough tech to make fun power and bluetooth phone built in, but none of the annoying screens or cabin tech that get in the way of the driving experience. I just don't think the Bronco is nice...
  11. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

It's perfectly reasonable for folks spending 30K plus on a vehicle to expect some level of refinement in the design and materials used in the truck. If I wanted to drive the world's most capable tractor I'd import a 70 series Land Cruiser or an old Defender.
  12. Signature LED Headlights or Standard LED Headlights.

There's a slight difference in light output and the signatures project slightly further. But it's not really anything you're going to notice IRL even with them side-by-side. Both are fine. Here's the IIHS data on them.
  13. Tip: to roll down all Bronco's windows at once, hold the unlock button on the key fob

It's a great idea until the exact moment something in your pocket holds the button down while you're getting a hair cut on a rainy day... Thankfully that BMW had pleather seats.
  14. WISH LIST: What is your biggest Bronco desire for future iterations?

More fun colors! A tach that isn't useless for people with manuals! Simplification of the options groups so I can actually get 100% of what I want at a reasonable cost!
  15. Base Owners - How does the steering wheel really feel?

$300 is a hell of a lot cheaper than $5,000 is my attitude.
  16. Base Owners - How does the steering wheel really feel?

I've never been able to comfortably use plastic/rubber steering wheels. They make my hands sweat :( I have a base on order, but the leather wheel from the Big Bend model is under $300. So I'm just going to change it out when my Bronco shows up. Part number M2DZ-3600-BB
  17. 2.3 Manual... Rolling in Gear?

You always put it into the lowest ratio gear you have for best mechanical advantage. On most modern cars that's first or reverse, gears typically around 4:1. On the Bronco you have a 6.5:1 gear, it's C. So you should always park in the Crawler gear with the parking brake on.
  18. How are you mounting your recovery boards

You can get one of these guys from Badass Tents. It's basically a mounting plate held to the spare tire with a ratchet strap.
