I have Off Roadeo stickers from NH (where I went) and Moab (from a trade). I called the off Road-eo and asked if they could send me Vegas and Texas. They told me they were out of stickers but they would put me on a list.
Yesterday, I got a surprise package in the mail. I opened it and there...
I'm curious if they would work, even if it took a bit of modification. The raptor and bronco bumpers look similar and the pocket lights are too. I wouldn't be surprised. I thought about buying a raptor bracket and seeing.
It's been cold in NJ recently so I haven't had any desire to go under the truck in the driveway so they're still not installed yet. I'll post pics when finished
I took some measurements. If you could make the bend shorter than 1 inch that would work better but I didn't have tools for that. I had to have my second bend on an angle because of it. Also, I only measured the 3 front hohes. The holes for the lights will depend on your specific lights and how...
Honestly I didn't see them but can you access the other side? How would you attach the nut? I don't think that's a threaded hole is it? If so then yeah that might be easier lol.
I don't think you can there are no bolts inside I can see. Don't forget that was just test fitting everything and the bracket wasn't painted yet. I'll post pics when it's painted black and finished. I don't think you'll notice the edge.
Yeah I was just testing the fit. I've cleaned it off with angle grinder and wire wheel. Then primer and Rust-Oleum and then paint and a rubberized coating. I'm sure it will rust eventually but no time soon.
Thanks. I was gonna do aluminum but yeah I had this already. The aluminum sheets I saw were thinner and not as rigid so I would have had to look around for a thicker sheet. I might improve this in the summer.
You're right, half of my motivation was to see if the idea in my head would work lol...
Yeah I've thought of that. But as far as I can tell the brackets already out there are only using the same three bolts. The steel is really solid. And I left the sheet solid for extra strength. I don't think it will be a problem but if it is, there is a side bolt on that pocket and I have a roll...
They're not on right now. That was just test fitting them. I am painting the brackets and still have to wire them up. I'll post pics when done.
Thanks.
Agreed, it's not for everyone. I'm not averse to spending money but the reason I was able to buy a Badlands Sasquatch with Lux package is because I drove my 2002 Explorer for 19 years. It's all about what it's worth for you. For me, I would rather spend it on other things. I like the pocket...
