  1. Bronco Raptor Ordering Nightmare (Golden Ticket Holder)

You've heard the old expression..."The left hand doesn't know..." That's the Ford business model & describes their branded dealership network to a "T"
  2. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

Can't you just visualize Ford arranging festivities at your dealer - complete with balloons and banners - where the 2.7 AAs who make it to the end of the 5 yr/60,000mi Powertrain Warranty drive in for complimentary champagne & pineapple pizza! ....assuming Ford is still around in 5 years :)
  3. Are you a Ford guy/gal or just a Bronco guy/gal?

To me, vehicle brands are about as unique as different brands of canned peas. But I live in a 2-traffic-light mountain town...the "big-3" service dealers are ~45 minutes away, while everyone else is in the 2+ hour range.
  4. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

Ford works hard every day to maintain their piss-poor reliability ratings
  5. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

I'd add to that the seeming fact that Ford hasn't said squat to their dealer network either.
  6. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

That's the $64,000 question, eh? If Ford believed a shit-ton of these 2.7s wouldn't outlive the powertrain warranty, wouldn't it be in their interest to issue a recall?
  7. Im only here to use up internet space.

Damn....next you'll want to revisit V8s...SFAs...whether Cactus is gray or green :)
  8. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

For those 41 owners, its 100% of the Broncos they own. If you assume 10% of Bronco owners are forum members, then its more like 400 blown engines. And if you make further assumptions about the number of Bronco engines produced in the 2 "FAIL WINDOWS", it might actually be a stunningly large...
  9. Ford is done with car dealers video..

I get your point, but markets will always have niches. Ford must believe the "point A to point B" is already commoditized - and once that happens price becomes the only differentiator - as Ford exited the basic sedan business.
  10. Sudden onset performance issues

Here's a touch of reality for the 'bleed ford blue' crowd who keep saying "don't fret; its under warranty". Getting a car repaired today is almost impossible. So, maybe you really need TWO Broncos to get out & enjoy the WILD as Ford advises. Bronco seems less reliable than a 200,000 mile toyota
  11. Ford is done with car dealers video..

You're right...dereg accelerated the decline. But what Really commoditized airlines - and will likely do the same to autos - is the end of the good-better-best marketplace. Your pic looks like you might remember the old Sears catalog days, the epitome of that 3-tiered market. You were lucky if...
  12. Ford is done with car dealers video..

Ask an airline CEO where the 'secret sauce' is in their business. There isn't one; its all commoditized. Unthinkable 50-60 years ago...my relatives wore their Sunday-Best, long white gloves included, to board a plane. Today its a cattle-car.
  13. Ford is done with car dealers video..

I think you have to look at this through the prism of 'the future'; who will 'make' vehicles & who will 'service' them. My prognostication: The chassis/powertrain becomes commoditized. Maybe 2 or 3 sizes; probably no more than 2 or 3 manufacturers. That leave the 'body'...not rocket science by...
  14. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

No....the people in a REAL bind are anyone buying a Ford vehicle in the future. If Ford can't even take care of their 'meat & potatoes' 2.7 ICE....buying an "ALL NEW" electric powertrain from these buffoons is ultimate stupidity.
  15. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

I think you're missing the point entirely. Forum estimate is ~400 of these MY21 2.7L Broncos have gone belly-up due to a bad batch of valves. Supplier issue - not Ford's. What Ford totally owns is their give-a-shit attitude to those of us who have valves from that same bad batch but haven't...
  16. I sampled over 300 Builds this year and determined that 2022 will be the year of Eruption Green

I think strippers bought the paint, and teenage girls bought the 2.7L valves :)
  17. I sampled over 300 Builds this year and determined that 2022 will be the year of Eruption Green

Area 51 is like looking up at the best sky blue ever...through the worst LA haze ever
