Wow the Maze requires reservations? Times change.
Does it really require extra fuel to get there & back? Pretty sure I never carried fuel back in the 1990s.
Nice trip report. I was in Yosemite a few days after you. Weather started out similar but then cleared and was great. Park was not crowded at all. Least crowded Iāve ever seen it (and I go almost annually in the spring since Iām close) probably due to the cold. That was an epic hike you...
Same. Mud/Ruts is exactly what I settled on as a default (and disable rear locker) when I get into tougher terrain. Plus I also disable traction control fully (long press). Then manually engage lockers (mostly rear, occasionally front) and 4L when needed.
Prior to that, on forest service road...
So my mid-1990s paper Baja map has some value???
Admittedly a tablet would come in handy at times. I tend to over-download maps on Gaia, Onx and Google. I love maps!
I had the same concern about the battery going airborne. The design includes two slots through which I can run 1ā webbing to hold down the battery. At least that was the plan. However after welding it seems like the heat shrunk the width slightly (or perhaps the tolerances were too tight) so the...
I finished a custom battery mount for the Bronco. Itās specifically for the Ecoflow Trail 200/300 battery series. It mounts to existing hardtop retention bolts next to the passenger side rollbar. Pics below.
Itās a small capacity 288Wh battery with USB and 12V outputs (no AC out). I donāt have...
2023 4dr. Been lucky. Over 1500 miles off road. Hard top still looks good (despite the scratches). Roof rack taken on/off many times. Parked outdoors in partial shade
Cool story thx for sharing. I was passing through during Jeep Safari. Didnāt have time to do much. But I was looking at the pickle trail and wishing I was with a group.
Congrats! Iām hoping to hammer some more later this spring. But I use Stormās settings (more or less). Except for onroad where I use these.

I havenāt. Iām doing the family college tour roadtrip now. I have two days in Moab while on the way back home but itās not all āmy timeā. Ha! But I hope to run Sevenmile and maybe take the back way into Arches. Iāve done a lot of backpacking in Moab. But the only off-roading Iāve done was back...
Oops. Forgot to share this update from January 26. Q2 is fast approachingā¦
āProduct management is currently aiming for a Q2 2026 release for the kit.
I know this has been a long time in the works. The team is working vigilantly to be able to have a kit available as soon as possible.ā
I...
It was totally worth it. Now I understand the expense (especially going through a set of tires every 3 days). But the facility, as you know, and instructors and vehicles are great. You get a lot of seat time. Maybe 1hr total of classroom. And the rest is in the field driving or watching. You...
I just did the 1 day AWD class @ Dirtfish this Saturday and it was SO MUCH FUN!! Itās great once you get the hang of weight transfer and left foot braking. Hitting a corner slide perfectly and accelerating out of it is so satisfying. Consistency is a challenge however!
Was wondering how the...
