I just came back from the BajaXL.org rally. Had a fantastic 10 day adventure. The locals were friendly and beers were $2.50 and the most expensive dinner was $15 for fresh shrimp. I wish I didn't have a wedding that weekend in June or I would definitely do this
I lost both of my reservoirs. I love the report that my dealer sent into Ford. It says my shock has a hole corroded in them. He didn't even know they have reservoirs and were missing.
Turns out that Ford only has the old ones. The dealer ordered them and will replace under my extended warranty. Then they will replace again under recall. The service manager said he couldn't put Hoss 3.0 on my car since they are not a Ford part and would need to find a shop for that. I tried...
Went to pick up my Wildtrak after an oil change today. They don't have the new Bilstein design available. They ordered the old ones and will replace under warranty and then replace again under the recall when the new design is available
You just bounce up and down on the springs. Very scary at 65mph. I just dropped my 21 Wildtrak off at the dealer today. Ford said they would send him a pair of the new design for the recall to replace them. I am seeing if Ford will give me credit towards the Hoss 3.0 shocks
The reservoirs broke off my Bilstein shocks. The dealer will replace with the recalled version under warranty.
Is it worth paying the difference for Hoss 3.0s? Can I just do the rears without replacing the fronts?
I just dropped my Wildtrak off at dealer. They called Ford, and they will replace my blown shocks (reservoirs are gone) with the new designed ones. I am asking them to see about just paying the difference in price and get Hoss 3.0s installed. Anyone know the price difference
Stopped by dealer. Extended warranty should cover replacing with same shocks. Then when new shocks from recall come in, they will replace again.
Bringing car in on Monday. Service manager will contact Ford about replacing with Hoss 3.0. That would save Ford having to do recall later. See what...
My rear shocks went completely out last week. It looks like I am twerking down the road when I hit a bump. Going to see tomorrow what the dealer has to say. The car is not safe to drive on a freeway or highway
The rear shocks on my 21 Wildtrak are not working at all. The recall says we have to wait until Q3. I need new shocks now. Will the dealer replace them now. I cannot be driving with them the way they are.
No problem sharing pics. My IG is Way2_fastt. We drove several hrs last night. The lights are amazing and I feel totally safe. People on the rally are telling you not to drive at night
