  1. MIC Hard Top Wind Noise Reduction - 2023 Edition - Plus Bonus Fix for Bad Adhesive

I have this type of hood bug deflector on mine. Mine was from Ford directly (Aeroskin), but looking at the accessories page now, it appears to be slightly different than mine (no hump), which is the key to the following. Amazon link below shows what I've got...
  2. Thank You Bronco 6G!

    Believe that's Maverick at Iceman's funeral...fellow jacka$$...
  3. Talk me off the ledge? (SAS set on non SAS OBX)

You'll be asking for quieter tires next, as the SaS tires are known for being quite loud for several folks. Perhaps one of the biggest complaints, noise and throwing rocks. BFG KO3's are a popular tire for the OBX rims, but they only come in E load rating and they're a bit finicky for...
  4. Your vehicle is STILL being built email!

Mine took 6 months. Ordered 12/24, delivered 6/1. Not sure when you ordered yours, but if you're inside the 6 months period, you're likely doing just fine. Now, the fact that they mentioned "addressing challenges", makes me think challenges that are not specific to your car, but their process...
  5. Am I doing this holiday thing right? Bronco holiday lights

That would certainly get a thumbs up from me on the road!! How are you powering them away from the house? Using the power outlet in the back seat?
  6. Damn photo radar

It's the 30th Anniversary Bronco!! The Juice is Loose model!! (5 pages on this thread, and nobody picked this up? What's wrong with you guys, still in Thanksgiving food coma mode?) :-)
  7. Hard shift reverse

Yep, not smooth and clunky, but feels more like the driveshaft linkage and not the transmission itself to me. But it’s conditional on how I engage it. Foot on brake stand still, not smooth. No foot on brake, it’s much better.
  8. Stinky HVAC (fix)

Not sure if engine type matters (mine is 2.7), but it’s right above the exhaust pipe coming off the engine, where the evap coil itself is located. Mine does the “sizzler” after a long drive when hot and drips rights onto the pipe. I saw it recently when doing the oil change, it’s a decent side...
  9. Buy lower trim and modify to upper trim?

Every now and then, a car manufacturer captures the lightening in the bottle with a car. Doesn't matter if it's Nissan (1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R) or Mercedes Benz (SL's). When they achieve that rarity, you jump on it while you can and you get exactly what you want while you can, and enjoy it...
  10. Bye Bye 2025 Bronco - I'm tired of the hard top CRACKS

That's good to hear! I feel the same way about VW, and despite everyone knowing someone who's sister's boyfriend's cousin's girlfriend's older sister blew up in a Jetta while driving down the highway, have been the best vehicles I've ever owned (6 of them), from quality of construction to...
  11. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Got up at dawn before the wife and kids, cold, drizzle, snuck out to go pick up some coffee for my wife and I, some pancakes for the kids. Blurry eyed myself, eco-mode slow pace, with CSN “Southern Cross” on the radio. Seat heater on, nobody out, beautiful Virginia drizzling fall morning...
  12. Bye Bye 2025 Bronco - I'm tired of the hard top CRACKS

Damn! Nicely done! Seems like every time I see a “used” Bronco, it’s basically back to MSRP and forfeit all the “options” costs. Well played! Hope you find the perfect vehicle that scratches that itch, and as a frequent flyer, THANKS for what you do!! Doubt any of us would get on any airplane in...
  13. Bye Bye 2025 Bronco - I'm tired of the hard top CRACKS

Can't argue with the decision to eliminate the frustration from your daily life, which is way too short already! Too many other choices out there to live with constant problems. That said though...fixing a $5k problem (faulty top/warranty) with a $10k answer (depreciation) isn't something you...
  14. CarbonSteel's 2023 Wildtrak Build + Maintenance Journal (Filters, Fluids, Oil Changes Etc)

Hey @CarbonSteel, curious of your thoughts on the air filter you used recently? Are we happy with it? No concerns? I'm coming up to 20k on mine and was planning to change the air filter at that time. Trying to decide between a trip to the Ford parts counter for another OE, or perhaps one of...
  15. Transmission fluid and filter change notes

Curious of age and mileage on the car when you did this? Any concerns with hitting the valve body with the hose as you're fishing it into the transmission? Best improvement may not have been the fluid itself, but the filter! You got all of that initial break-in material out of there that was...
  16. That Bronco6G life: for the new people so you won't be alarmed.

AMSOIL sucks. Valvo1 is much better. …and good night!
  17. "Vehicle Unblocked" Message on Display Screen

I had this happen this afternoon as well when I got home from an errand. But when I left for that errand, the system was glitchy in general, wouldn't select XM Radio, wouldn't move through menu very well. I did the soft reset and got it all back to normal. Then got home and noticed the unblocked...
  18. Wood trim inserts installed

Yeah I'm not sure about the 2-door version if they will work. Perhaps try the seller on Amazon and ask? I'm sorry, not much help.... This is where I'm getting the Cooper Metallic inserts for the handles to see if they're close enough to "roast" to not look too stupid. Figured worth the $25 to...
  19. Wood trim inserts installed

I think the darker would definitely sync better to the black elements of the interior for sure! Since I have the roast color scheme, I was trying to tie into that aspect as much as I could when deciding. I ordered some roast colored handle inserts from Etsy to replace the grey on the out side...
  20. Wood trim inserts installed

Mine is the regular grain. It’s got a bit of a flat sheen to it which I liked.
