Broncobimini.com - by far the best bikini top I've used, especially in the latest iteration. I've had it in a pouring rainstorm and no issues in the cab. This is the Version 5.2 or 5.3, works great, 3 minutes to put on, even less to pull off.
I am pretty much right there with you, except Low package and I didn't add a winch, but I have the Broncobikini top and removed the back seats and added a 1-UP Bike Rack. It's been off-roading, in the woods, mountains, and spent a good bit of time on the beach, no major issues.
Now.....I'm not...
That was actually a paddleboard so it has a deck mat that providing some cushioning without scraping the top (or it). My longboard (which I carry most of the time) I just stick out the back and put it in a board sock, no issues.
Thanks, I just shoved some pipe insulation in between it. Doesn't look good but separates the fabric from that hard plastic. I'll keep following and report back.
Yeah, I'm definitely going to adjust how I get out. No steps, I hate steps actually they just get in the way. It's basically because I park in the garage with my wife's car and I can't open the door all the way, so I kinda slide out on that edge. The hard plastic is digging into the seat, has...
I have a '23 Badlands 2 door, and the same thing just started happening. I'm 6', SAS, no steps, I just put pressure on that driver's side section. I'm trying to keep this for awhile, so I might start trying some of the preventative steps.
Yeah, I bought it at 125k and sold it somewhere around 195k, the speedo stopped working and I never fixed it, ha. I knew basically my speed by the RPM's. 5 Speed Manual, locking hubs, mine was red, single cab. Loved it........I'm very tempted to go back to one, but.......I do love the Bronco...
Yeah, see I'm debating a midsized truck. The Bronco gets everything done, but a truck would make it way, way easier. The Bronco lives in the garage as well, if I got a truck, I'd just have more garage space for bikes and boards, which probably isn't a good thing. Right now, I have everything...
Yeah MTB'er here too, but.......I don't have friends, ha or a wife that rides, so I'm only carrying 1 with a 1-up. I will say I've debated going to a truck again (last one I was in grad school, '93 Toyota 22R-E) because I camp, bike, and surf/kiteboard so it's really easy to throw stuff in the...
Agreed, Dan is great, I bought the original and looking at upgrading. I'm guessing you got the latest version? The original still works great after 3 summers, but I'd like to close the front gap for rain.
Yeah., I wheeled mine quite a bit to begin with, but honestly, stock it does 95% of what anyone would want to do. I'd rather spend money on camping, biking, etc.
If you go the MTB rack route, +1 for 1up.
I'll second this - washout interior/MGV is a dealbreaker for me. I'm wheeling about like you (with less access), but I MTB and on the beach with sandy gear all of the time. I removed the back seats from my 2 door and put in a Maverick truck bed mat (fits perfectly), and don't worry with the...
I debated going to a 2 door JL before the Bronco. I felt like the Bronco definitely won on the manual transmission side of things, and the size was just a bit better to fit everything compared to the JL.
Any thoughts?
I've only had a few vehicles, but before the Bronco was a '21 JLUR, before that for 14 years was a '07 JKU. I really liked the JL, but didn't love the manual transmission in it, it just never felt right (and was under recall for potentially exploding because they were cheap with the pressure...
Yeah, not near as much as I'd like. That and I've gotten into mountain biking, so when I used to go 3.5 hours or so to the closest moderate off-roading and camp, etc. now I go bike the whole time. I'm on the coast, so options are limited, now.....from just a getting my Bronco dirty standpoint...
Agreed, and same I've driven a manual most of the 28 years I've driven, although not in I-95 NoVA traffic. The clutch and shifting in the Bronco is the main reason I left my JL. As for this forum post, there's no reason (although I wish they would bc my 2D would be more valuable), but there's no...
Yeah, the 2 door is bad ass. My only issue with this is it's Easter Jeep Safari week and they've put out demo vehicles for years now....choose another week Ford, do your own thing.
