  1. Fire Extinguisher Mounting in the Bronco - Show Your Installs

Not many good places in the back for two door Bronco. Just mounted it using the mount that came with the fire extinguisher onto the rear window Molly panel.
  2. Diode Dynamics C1R Issues

Do you know what color is just the brake light ? The C1R I have has a special red tap line that you can feed the rear brake light wire to the C1R to bypass the brake light wire in the 7 pin connector thus by passing the hitch brake controller wiring.
  3. Diode Dynamics C1R Issues

I have the exact same problem, glad I red this. AI says it's the brake controller system doing as is confusing the C1R with a system that has brakes. Mention something about using the red tap wire that was included in the kit. Have done anything yet.
  4. Powering Winch with AUX + Relay / Isolator

Where did you get the STL file for that stinger cover, I'd like to print one. Good idea.
  5. Powering Winch with AUX + Relay / Isolator

Same as everybody else. Just add a 18 inch battery cable to the switch. You can get the cables made for you at this place called fast and quiet, good prices and delivery. I just started putting it together but I'm not done yet.

  7. Questions on GRIMM & KR Off-Road Mount for ARB

Some of the reviews for the control box aren't that great. How does work for you, is the pretty accurate without issues? Better than a Morris ?
  8. Any Turn Off Road Tailgate Reinforcement reviews

Other than using a lift-mate where would use the hi lift on a Bronco ?
  9. Compressor mounts specifically known to work with the ARB Brushless Twin?

As far as I know nobody, but KR has the mount that works with brushless twin ARB. Not even the FORD ARB mount work with the brushless twin. I keep hearing that Grimm will come out with one when they get around to it, as they quickly came out with one for the Jeep market. In their question...
  10. Nightmare Ford dealer service

Maybe the Ford mechanics should watch YouTube videos so they can know how to put it together. Dealers charge an arm and a leg to be backyard mechanics. Yes there are some good mechanics at the dealer but those are hard to find.
  11. My Cheap Hard Top Hoist for Garage Ceiling

I know this is late but... Yea I used rollers as someone else pointed out. Mine has 4 rollers and I bolted the unistrut to the ceiling 2x6 members using spax screws that didn't get in the way of the rollers so I didn't have to use unistrut hangers. I got them from aliexpress back in the day...
  12. Powering Winch with AUX + Relay / Isolator

Instead of using the upfitter switch, you could just put a small switch under the hood or elsewhere that supplies 12v from the battery to the solenoid then, the key/accessory button/engine button etc, doesn't have to be on, but then again, I guess it's the same as your manual switch. Just a thought.
  13. Powering Winch with AUX + Relay / Isolator

Yes that's what I said, across the coil terminals. We're talking about the same thing the relay/solenoid/isolator/stinger coil. And yes of course I'm concerned about the spike if there are any when it goes from asserted to de-asserted, causing a collapsing EMF, The Bronco has all kinds of...
  14. Powering Winch with AUX + Relay / Isolator

I am just going to place the diode cross the coil terminals , so nothing to splice. Not really worried about EMI or RFI when using the winch.
  15. Powering Winch with AUX + Relay / Isolator

I'm planning to add a flyback diode to the 12v solenoid inductor side, anybody else do that ? IN4001 or IN4007
  16. Powering Winch with AUX + Relay / Isolator

Warn puts out a winch isolator kit that has a solenoid. It's only rated for intermittent usage, and I don't think it's rated for 500 amps. I've seen people on YouTube use this. Is this good enough? https://www.warn.com/power-interrupt-kit-62132
