This is why I installed the IAG tailgate compressor, was outta space with 2 dogs and gear. Install was a breeze. Most time consuming part of the install was popping the plastic channel/trim covers and running the heavy gage wire to the battery. Took me about an hour but I don’t have to worry...
I run a Gobi rack and love it. I also have a 3 person Thule Tepui tent - I’ve run it on White Rim in Moab and on Colorado trails with my roof rack and it was great, but the 2 of us and our 85lb dog was about maxed out. I also didn’t care for what that much weight on top did to the center of...
It’s the Smittybilt Scout trailer… basically a platform you add your components to (water, power, gas, appliances, etc.) I wanted something I could actually tow on 4x4 trails in Colorado to get to dispersed camping spots without the crowds.
I went with the Blue Sumo springs as well for towing my trailer. Basically it’s a big progressive bump stop so not much to maintain or go wrong. Only down side might be a stiffer ride when unloaded, but I didn’t notice much of a change.
I have a set from Broaddict. I needed a set with just a bit more length to run up to my roof rack and these had the extra length I needed. Easy to pull the pin if you need to pop them off to get under the hood or want to run without them for a bit.
Before you roast me for not needing these on...
I have a 23 Wildtrak and went with the Smittybilt skid plates. Solid as hell, zinc coating, easy install. Here’s a pic of the Smittybilt vs Stock. They run about $750 without a discount.
I have the GOBI rack and love it. I think it holds up to 800 static pounds. Have had a RTT and 2 Jerry cans without issue.
Also has the advantage of flipping back so you can swap out hard top, soft top, no top.
Took my 2023 Wildtrak in for an oil change 6 weeks ago and the dealer let me know if had a bad passenger's side turbo (oil leak). it was covered by my warranty, and the turbo was backordered (they said there were 62 others on backorder). Major bummer as it was right at the start of elk season...
Took my 23 Bronco Wildtrak to Ford dealer in Brighton, CO a couple of months age for an oil change and to find a leak that was dripping oil by passengers side front tire. Came back no leak. Fast forward to last week, took it in for 20K service to Sill-TerHar Motors (obviously had a leak and...
I got both the factory hard top and the Bestop from the factory so they installed the hardware for both. I run the hard top in the winter or on long roadtrips (like from Colorado to Oregon), and the soft top in summer. Both have good and bad. I have a hoist for both. Other consideration is a...
I’ve used Roadrunner Fabrication off 1-25 and 36 (Pecos) for years for blasting, welding, and powder coating from bumpers to roll cages and they have always been reasonable. Dan Kish is the guy I’ve worked with. Have the carbonized grey Wildtrak and was thinking of blasting the rims and going...
I did the same as ZapMflash. Install was simple and straight forward if you tap into the Aux Switches, it’s more involved if you want to tap into the DRL circuit which is what I did (good article on this site for tapping into this behind the drivers side headlight). I did buy the separate loom...
Live in Colorado and wanted something I could tow on 4x4 trails for dispersed camping to get away from the crowds. Picked up a Smittybilt Scout Trailer and started to outfit it. So far have a Tule Autana Ruggedized RT tent, Overcast Awning, Fly Rod vault, Goal Zero 1500X Power Station + Solar...
