Several people have tried to cancel their orders through their dealer, but the dealer doesn’t cancel, just so they can get more inventory. Seen plenty of examples on here. People still getting emails from Ford about a build that they don’t even recognize.

I agree, but I’ve also read several stories on here about dealers refusing to do business with customers after they won’t agree to any “market adjustment”. This was the first time I have ever paid msrp for a car, but it’s also the first time I’ve ever placed a custom order and waited a year and...

I got all the free coffee and water I could drink while I was at the dealership. I probably could have got a free bag of chips out of the vending machine if I were a better negotiator, but I wasn’t really hungry.

I did have to sign and place a $500 deposit to convert to an order. That was from the dealership though, not a Ford requirement. You lost your price protection by never converting your reservation anyway, so that’s on you. I hope you can get your order squared away.
